Location: Brugge, Belgium

MapToday we set out early for Brugge with the new GPS. Brugge is a medieval city set on a network of canals and known as “Venice of the North” and we toured several churches and cathedrals all beautifully decorated inside. The main square is surrounded by gabled buildings and has two large ornate gothic buildings, one with a tall tower which may be the town hall? Horse drawn carriages carry tourists around the city centre and it was interesting to see and hear them. We spent the whole day here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit, walking the cobbled streets, watching the cruise boats along the canals and taking photos of the many interesting buildings.
