Location: Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany

MapWe drove for about 4 hours from Leiderdorp to the small town of Bruchhausen-Vilsen in Germany, about 35 km south of Bremen. We are renting a very nice vacation house here and after settling in we set off walking to explore the town. There are two small towns that expanded from their old centres to join at the railway station and traffic roundabout. On weekends a steam engine pulls some old carriages along a track between some of the nearby towns and there is a railway museum at the station. The towns have some interesting old buildings and a lot of very nice homes, gardens and parks.
