Maurice Greer’s Travel Diary

Tuesday, 04 Aug 2009

Location: Kühlungsborn, Germany

MapThis morning we went shopping for supplies for our six days here as Dawn is anxious to avoid the buffet breakfasts we had every day in Denmark and Sweden. After lunch we walked through the woods across from our apartment and joined up with the promenade where we continued walking for several km out and back to the town’s main street. The town also has a railway with steam driven locomotive that travels to Rostock through a few of the neighbouring small towns. We took many photos of the very nice hotels, apartments and commercial buildings, speculating that the town has undergone a major facelift since German reunification in 1989.
