Corey and Nicki’s Travel Diary

Tuesday, 03 Nov 2009

Location: Wilmington, England

MapSo - a busy few days!

Saturday was fairly quiet and we only had one girl come trick or treating - we had sweets and a pumpkin though.

Sunday the weather was awful but Corey was determined to go in to London. We planned a couple of indoor things but found at the station that our destination was closed that day for engineering works!

So we went to London Bridge instead and did the London Dungeons, which Corey enjoyed, despite being picked on in the torture chamber.

After that we had a drink then did the Britain at War attraction. Corey thought it was OK but I found it tedious as that bit of history really doesn't interest me much - I like my history from older periods...

Yesterday we went to London again and visited the shopping areas of Regent Street and Oxford Street. We visited Hamley's - the 5 floor toy store and also stopped in at the Wallace Collection - a house with collections of art, antiques and armour.

Today we went with my parents to Canterbury, where we went to the Canterbury Tales attraction and the Cathedral. There was a bit of rain, but most of it was while we were indoors eating, so it wasn't too bad.

Tomorrow Corey and I are thinking of visiting the Tower of London and a few other bits near there.

Thursday we may do another trip to the coast to see Rye, Hastings, Battle Abbey and Bodiam Castle.

Friday we may go to London again and see a show as well. Then it is Firework's Night at the weekend!

We also just booked to do a tour of a Kentish brewery with my parents on 18th November and I am busy working out times to catch up with some of my friends.
