Location: USA

Map8 years and 3 kids later we are ready to embark on our next Epic adventure! Mike's employer, Epic, gives him an additional 4 weeks vacation every 5 years. This is the second half of his 10 year sabbatical (the first half was spent on a beach in Turks and Caicos with the kids). Epic pays for our flights and gives us a per diem for traveling to a country we've never been to before! In March we will be traveling to Chile for two weeks. Our kids will be staying home with a rotating grandparent care taker (thanks grandma and grandpas!) I just finished booking all our accommodations, so here's a peak at our itinerary:

March 2nd: Our flight leaves Madison
March 3rd: Flight arrives in Santiago, Chile
March 4th: Explore Santiago and then rent a car and drive to Pucon
March 5th-7th: Hiking an active volcano, relaxing in natural hot springs, hiking, exploring and hopefully some good food and wine!
March 8th: Drive to wine country and stay at a vineyard for a night before heading back to Santiago.
March 9th: Fly to Punta Arenas from Santiago(southern tip of Chile, Patagonian region)
March 10th-March 14th: We'll be staying at a lodge in the Torres del Paine National Park where we will be able to hike the famous W trail, go horseback riding and take in the natural beauty of this remote region.
March 15th: Fly back to Santiago and then home
March 16th: Arrive back in Madison
