Location: Paris, France

We have now had the introductory classes for all four courses here in Paris. As mentioned previously, the literature course has a lot of reading and very high expectations. The film course might be the wildcard; I feel like our professor assumes we know a lot more about film than we actually do and I am unsure what the assignments will be as of yet. The history course was the standard for me; lots of reading and again high expectations. But then there was the architecture class. It is not an understatement to say that I am completely influenced by a speaker's charisma and am impressed by my professor's knowledge of history, fine art and architecture. It was a very interesting class because he linked up his introduction to our reading from the history class about the transformations in street naming (in Paris) through changes in ideologies. I am thrilled to begin our neighbourhood walks next week. The final project is a 10-12 page personal research project/essay. Seriously? I'm going to LOVE architecture.

*** A big shout out goes to Mom & Dad for picking up "Paris, An Architectural History" for me. I'm the only one in the class with a coveted copy. Thanks!

I'm exhausted, but with a good reason.....VERSAILLES!
