Location: Slovenia

MapWe are about to leave Slovenia and tackle the holiday traffic!

Went to some beautiful limestone caves 3.2km long!!! They put you on a little train to transport you through the first 2km though. We even got to see the Proteus in the caves (a walking lung fish, native and unique to this area only, they call it the human fish because it has lungs (and gills) so can breath in and above water and also lives approximately 100 years!).

Tamara took us to a vinyard where we of course had a taste-test - awesome Riesling. Then went to some thermal springs to relax before we met Tamaras mum who made us THE YUMMIEST strudel, and no apples!??! It was divine.

Had a wonderful time in Slovenia and are sad to be leaving (also apprehensive with the traffic reports constantly on the radio talking about 10km long traffic jams!).

Tamara sends her love to all back home.

Next stop - Croatia, to dive in the pristine waters of the Adriatic Sea.
