Location: Hungary

MapWell Croatia left us with a sour taste in our mouths. After Dubrovnik went up to Zagreb (free camped on the side of the road), then got on the road to Budapest. The roads are not well sign posted and we got on the wrong toll road. Realising our mistake we turned around and on exiting the toll had to pay $30 to get off it!! Made it to Budapest and what an awesome city.

Found a campground 15 km from the city but when an all day travel pass costs $8 who cares!! Spent day 1 wandering through the old part of the city, around the castle, through an underground labyrinth (under castle hill), to the Fishermans Bastion for awesome views over the city and Parliment House. Day 2 began with a Hungarian sausage (which we then spent the day burping up!!- great value), then headed for the Statue park, containg statues from the Communist era and then to a relaxing thermal spring is so tough!! (these photos will be added to our Hungary page later)

Trivia question (for yet another crappy souvenir).........What are the colours on the Hungarian flag??
