Tanya & Matt’s Travel Diary

Location: Munich, Germany

MapWell after some trials and car troubles, we made it Munich and had to bypass Bertchesgarten as we were instructed not to stop!! So we're a little disappointed about that.

Went to Dachau Concentration Camp which was really graphic, lots of pictures of piles of dead bodies and people who had been electrified or shot trying to escape, and people who had medical research conducted on them, so it was not a place for the squeamish!! Yet an awesome experience and totally free!! They even had the gas chamber and the crematorium still in it's original condition.

Stood in the rain (again!!) and watched the Carillon with it's two-tiered dancing figurines and listened to it's out-of-tune bells (and out of time). Beautiful city though, with awesome public transport.

The next trivia question for a crappy souvenir, is:

What country (correct name please) is Prague the capital of?

We've decided to make a one-crappy-souvenir-per-person rule. However, the running "Biggles Mileage" competition is open to all:

How many miles will Biggles have done on our journey? This will be judged in late september when we sell Biggles. The souvenir will not be so crappy, and a hint: so far we have travelled over 8000 miles. One guess per person.

Off to Prague!!
