Di’s Travel Diary

MapWe have moved from Kingscliff to the sunshine coast. We are staying at Cotton Tree with the river inlet one side and the surf the other. Great place for kids. We NEVER go anywhere in school holidays but we had no choice this time. Do you have any idea how noisy plastic training wheels are on little bikes??? We are on a big corner site so we get them from all directions. Of course we have been witness to a few spiils. Tent ropes vs kids push bikes provides some great entertainment. Nothing that a bandaid wouldnt fix though.

We are staying here for a week whilst an annex is being made for the van. They came on site to measure for it, it is made locally and they will be back to fit it at the end of the week.

My brother David and his wife Bev are here too. The weather is perfect, actually hot for this time of the year. We have enjoyed happy hours watching the sun set over the water, a day in the hinterland (Mapleton, Montville, Maleny) and lunch at The Spirit House yesterday. For all you foodies that havent been there - put it on yor to do list. It is one of my all time favourite places. Check it out on the web. It lived up to expectations! After lunch we checked out the latte sippers along Hastings Street, then enjoyed the drive back down the coast.

Today we are off to a Caravan and Camping show at Nambour - need to check out if there is anything we need to accesorise our van with. David and Bev have a camper trailor so I am sure we will all find things we NEED to have.

I am still experimenting and learning about this web site. Please feel free to respond on the site. Personal emails can be posted here. They only go to the web page if I post them there, so dont panic I will be selective on what I share with everyone.

Feel free to pass on the web address to anyone that interested - this is easier than group emails.
Bye for now cheers Di
