Location: Singapore, Singapore

Map31/1/18 - 1/2
Manchester - Singapore. Flight was fine, got in an hour ahead of time. Went through Changi Airport in about 20 mins. Our bags were out as we came through immigration. We were met by a lady from the taxi firm who apologised for our delay - she's obviously never flown into Turin. Didn't get a wink of sleep on the plane. Walked out of the airport into a solid wall of hot steamy air, 30C here. We did get straight into the hotel room though so showered and out round Chinatown, Little India and the Botanic Gardens. Incredible sights and smells. Jackie made it 200 m from the hotel before tripping over the kerb and going flat out much to the consternation of the nice Singaporean gentleman who was giving us directions. I assured him this was perfectly normal. It works like Vancouver. If you stand still and look lost somebody will come and help. Did get talked into a new lens by a bloke in Chinatown so tell me the photos look good even if they don't. Off out to Clarks Quay to find an evening meal now.
Update on the evening. On advice we went to Robertson's Quay which was described as a bit more for grown ups and it was. We did walk down to Clarke's Quay and it was much more touristy but we did find Brewerkz - Singapore's finest microbrewery they claim. Nothing to compare it to but it was mighty fine.
