Location: Chobe National Park, Botswana

After the excitement of our trip to and over the Okovango Delta by light aircraft we spent another night drinking far too much in the camp site bar. After running through a large part of the shooter menu of Springboks, Giraffes, Wild Dog and Angry dog to name but a few, we ended up dancing and singing the night away on the bottom of an up turned mokoro around a raging open fire untill the early hours........ then the inevitable alcohol fuelled pranks and dares started. It seemed like a great idea at the time but a fully clothed 2am swim beckoned and so in I went - dripping wet and fairly cold as the nights are still quite chilly I hurled my boxers on to the fire in a slightly stupid attempt to dry them quicker.......the smouldering and steaming offending article being removed by Jude just before they burst into flames. On the way back to the tents we turned one of our fellow Aussie travellers tent round and you would be amazed at how long it takes a drunken aussie to find the zip on their tent in the dark when it has moved!! Even funnier was when she came out of the tent half naked for a visit to the loo only to have the same trouble getting back in a second time.

....and so we moved onto Chobe. A national park on the Botswana / Namibia / Zambian border.
