Location: Livingstone, Zambia

Dr David Livingstone described the Mosi o Tunya falls (which means 'the smoke that thunders' like this.......

"A sight so beautiful as this must have been gazed on by Angels in their flight"

We know them as the Victoria Falls. He was right.

Tonight, friday 18th August we will get an Angels eye view of these magnificent falls from a microlight flight over them at sunset. Cant wait.

However our trip here is already two days old. We ended our overland truck expedition here in Livingstone on Wednesday and will leave the White Nile to work its way up to Nairobi without us. We are now on our own for another new adventure........ one that takes on a whole new meaning now as Jude and I are about to start more than just a new African adventure ........ with the Victoria Falls as a back drop, on our own in the spray on 'Knife Edge Bridge' with the rest of the White Nile 'troop' watching on from a distance with bubbly at the ready I got down on bended knee 100 feet from the falls and .....jumped!! (Only joking!!)....I made a metaphorical jump ....popped the question..."Mrs Roberts I Presume"...She said 'Yes' & Jude now has a sparkly souvenir of Cape Town firmly planted on her left hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Champagne corks popped and made for the start of an eveing of raucous celebration with another sunset cruise - this time down the mighty Upper Zambezi River.

What Angels See indeed. The end of one memorable journey. The start of two more.......
