MapHey guys,

Well life is coming on in leaps and bounds, with a job and a new place to live in Southampton - just waiting on the contracts for both of these. Apparently that means I now support the Southampton football (soccer) team and may actually end up seeing a game at some stage.

I headed to Southampton yesterday and started (and finished) looking for a place to live. It could be an interesting experience, as there are 9 bedrooms in this place... damn. But there are also 5 bathrooms, and two kitchens, one of which is huge. The place is about 15 minutes from the central train station on foot, and another 15 minutes to town, or 15 to the port. There are busses nearby and they run pretty frequently. There's a gridiron team there, and apparently an AFL team starting up next year too. So it seems like a nice enough place to live.

What else? Not a whole lot. All of the spare time on the trains this last week has resulted in me having plenty of time for churning thru many of the songs on the mp3 player. I have finally churned thru over 5400 songs (what I started with when I left home) but am only at the T section... still with almost 600 songs still to listen to. Seems I've gained a few along the way.

Other than that, not a whole lot else just yet. I did finally manage to get some photos up for the Datarock gig, Poker Champs, Mobile Phone Throwing Champs and Oxford. Hope they tide you over till I have more interesting stuff like Oktoberfest and a new place to live.
