Jon’s Travel Diary

Thursday, 27 Apr 2006

Location: Dunedin, New Zealand

MapIt has been raining for 3 days now. The river that runs through our uni called the Leith has flooded and has level 5 rapids. It is incredible the speed that the water is travelling at. Nothing ever surprises me as we saw a couple streaking through the park today jumping and body surfing in the flooded rugby pitch. I wish I had the photos to prove it. If the water continues to come down at this rate school will be cancelled do to the flooding. Already today roads were closed due to streets being flooded.

Went to the gym today and it was packed with beautiful women. I know why some guys in my class go to the gym a lot. No wonder their so strong. Also Oz and I have found out that the library is another spot where the beautiful women like to hide. But how do you start chatting up someone in the library? The best we have so far is to ask her if she has a pen. Need help. Leave a message and let me know how you would go about it? Maybe Grandpa would have some helpful hints.

It's suppose to rain for the next few days. Possibly the last Highlanders rugby match this Friday. It's been a pleasure to watch. Like the kiwi's say SWEET AS.
