MapChristmas & New Year Sydney Style

On our first day in Sydney we done a lot of walking around the city, we vistited the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Darling Harbour. The following day we went to Coogee Beach.Christmas day we met up with Clare and Luke on Bondi Beach, the
weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky. We stayed on the beach until 6, it was still packed even at that time. Boxing day we took the ferry across the harbour to Taronga Zoo where
we saw some native Australian animals like Koalas and Roo's aswell as some Tigers and Lions. From the zoo there is a great view of the
harbour. The next evening we had booked ourselves on a bridge climb. It took 2 hours to climb to the top of the bridge, but was well worth it as the views were stunning. The next few days were spent on various beaches in Sydney including Manly and Bronte. We also did a great coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi which took about 1 hour 30 mins. On New Years Eve we met up with Clare and Luke and went down to a bar on the harbour to watch the fireworks. The fireworks were absoutely awesome and we had great night, certainly beats New Years back in the UK!! On New Years Day temperatures reached 42 degrees! We had no choice other than to go to the beach. It was so hot we had to go into the sea every 10 mins!! On our last day in Sydney we went to the 2nd day of the test match between Australia and South Africa, another good day, although SA batted pretty slowly!
