Location: Bangkok, Thailand

MapHere i am back in Thailand - and let me tell you that it is a relief after the opression of Myanmar.

Myanmar is probably the most beautiful country that i have ever visited, but at the same time the government is so corrupt and the people of the country have absoultely no future and no hope! As a tourist you are being monitored 24/7 and your actions are closely scrutinized to prevent you saying or doing anything against the government, or even giving news of the world outside of Burma.

On many occasions you have to bribe government officials! Even the internet sites you are looking at are being watched, on many occasions as i was writing this blog my computer was suddenly blocked - this is the power of a strange government! A government who commits genocide upon its own people, and i even witnessed a forced labour camp which was truly shocking! This is acountry where you can be imprisoned for saying worlds such as democracy! Mayanmar is a crazy world, but also amazing! Though i have a distinct feeling of freedom being back in Thailand, which has become a second home to me now that i have been here so many times!

Plan on chilling for the next day or two - eating, shopping, cinema... Am meeting Lana tonight and we are flying to Vietnam on Thursday which should be great fun!
