Hey Jac,
Only 4 more sleeps and you'll be here in the UK with me!! Exciting hey?? Well it is for me, but after two whole months of travelling you might be sick of sight seeing.......
Can't wait to spend some time in London seeing everything. Make sure you sleep on the plane cause we might have a full schedule..........No time to get over jet lag!!
I'll see you soon!!
Love Ali

hey jacq!
sounds like good fun :D
you're heading off to work in london, is that right?
it was good to read all about your adventures.
i'm headed back to the cold side of the world before the end of march too...though it sounds like my adventures will be a little more low-key than yours, since i spent all my money the first time around :D

write me back

ben :D

Hey Ben,
Sorry we didn't get to catch up before I left, my last few weeks were so crazy I can barely remember what I did. Should get to London about the start of May, so will have to come meet up with you somewhere.
Take care!
From Mum - Monday, 6th March 2006, 21:46 (GMT)
Hi JacJacJacqui,
So great to hear from you - and I'm NOT stressing (not much anyway). Yes, I do know you, and it's no surprise about the necklaces - you may have to leave out some clothes when you move onto the UK! It's way quiet at our house, but I must say, I tidied up the day after you left, and guess what? it's still tidy, now what does that tell you? I just knew you would love the food over there, considering you have been testing your Thai recipes on us for the last couple of years. I suppose I can cross Asia off Dad and my travel list, I agree that I don't think he would be too keen on the food! He is much better than he used to be though, isn't he? We are missing you already, but you are having a great time, so I'll just have to get used to it ha ha. Stay brave darling, and experience all you can. Love you heaps Mum
Are you saying Im the messy one Mum?? Maybe your right. I have found out Im not very good at living out of a backpack, there are clothes all over my room, lucky Im not sharing!
Talk to you soon
Love Jac
From Uncle Grae - Monday, 6th March 2006, 22:14 (GMT)
Hi Jacqui,
Good to hear you are enjoying yourself in Bangkok. You are right there is so much to see, and normally not enough time to see everything.
Anyway it is good to read your messages and keep enjoying yourself.
All the very best
Uncle Grae
Hello!
Yes Bangkok is crazy! I was brave and tried out a Tuk Tuk today, I thought I was going to fall out at one stage, and we came close to running over a few pedestrians, speaking of which I am very good at dodging traffic now! Say Hi to Minda, James and Kirsty for me.
Love jac

Hey JacJacAttack!
So good to hear you are having a goodtime, although I'm very jealous!! I miss you already, but I'm sure you already know that. Take it easy & keep the Diary Entries coming.
Oh & Mrs Jacjacjacqui, if Riley needs some entertainment, I can always re-introduce him to Poppy ehehhe
I think Riley is too old for the sort od entertainment Poppy's into. They could have had the cutest puppies, maybe they would have been normal beagle size! you would be proud of me I am being very brave! Keep reading and I will keep writing. Love jac
From Ali - Tuesday, 7th March 2006, 21:17 (GMT)
Hey there, you just have to top all my adventures don't you?? I go to wiltshire and you go exploring Thailand, You get to eat yummy Thai curries while I'm stuck eating Luis' sludge!! It's not fair. I'm trying not to be too sad about Anya going tho I don't have a lot to fill in the time at the moment.
I can't wait til you get here so we can explore London together - I'm already picking out the best spots from my lonely planet guide!!
Take care and have fun
Love Ali
PS. Did you take my advice about the socks??
You and those bloody socks! I only ended up getting one pair of thick socks, but they are like five cents here so I promise I will get some more. Its been so hot here I haven't even worn my boots yet. Food is delish. Had omlette and spring rolls today, yum!
From Ali - Wednesday, 8th March 2006, 20:18 (GMT)
Nice to know that you are enjoying sunshine and heat - it has rained non stop here in England for the past fews days!! Nice English weather hey?? I did see a baby lamb today though, so hopefully spring is on the way. Make sure you wear sunscreen!! ;-)
Love Ali
Al it is so hot here that suncream melts right off you! I only got a bit burnt on my first day tho, so I must be doing something right. It is so hot here sometimes it is unbelievable, and no air con in this place I am staying in! Uh Oh. Changed my mind about coming to UK now with that weather! Ha Ha.

Hello there,
How's the UK going? I want updates. Let me guess, now that you in the UK you can't afford to eat let alone pay for the internet. Love Al
You got it in one! I keep having heart attacks like when they want $8 for an OJ or something ridiculous!
From Mum - Tuesday, 14th March 2006, 01:16 (GMT)
Jacqui, what wonderful, beautiful pictures you have put up for us to marvel over (& be a little jealous I must admit). How 'special' (as Bruce Mac would say) to be able to get so up close and personal with those beautiful creatures. What an experience!! I am now starting to get used to the fact you are travelling alone - and having a beaut time - not quite so worried. Great, also, you have been able to see and experience a part of our history no-one should ever forget - to be able to have some concept of what our POWs went through building that railway can only make us appreciate the courage and character of those men. we can only hope some of that has come down the generations and makes us thankful we are Aussies. I'm looking forward to hearing of your trip on the sleeper train - I think that could provide us all with a few laughs. Also good you are trying to be a little more organised with your travel arrangements - makes your Mum & Dad sleep a little easier. Keep those wonderful stories coming - it keeps you close to us. Lots of Love, Hugs & Kisses, Mum
thanks mum, the pics came out pretty good didn't they. in the first ones I've got I think i looked a bit scared!
Give Riley and sooty cuddles for me

Hi Jacqui,
Was glad to hear you were still awake when you arrived in Istanbul - I can't imagine it's much fun sleeping in the airport! Can imagine the city when you describe the wonderful old buildings - it certainly is a mixture of east and west. Have fun on your bus trip - longing to hear all the details

From Uncle Allan - Monday, 20th March 2006, 06:52 (GMT)
Hi Jac,
Its great to hear about your adventures and see the photos. I swear one of those tigers is smiling - just what are you doing to it?

The elephant story is particularly interesting - can't help thinking how the elephant handlers are like some bosses. I wonder if I "snap" will they put me out to pasture?
I look forward to reading all your stories so stay well and keep safe.
Luv, Allan
Hey Uncle Allan,
Its certainly worth a try, tho just make sure there is no sticks nearby that they can poke out your eyes with, and you should be right!
The tigers.. now that is a secret I can't reveal!
Love Jac
From James Dann - Monday, 20th March 2006, 22:20 (GMT)

Hey Jac, Becasue I knew you'd be so disappointed that you could make my 21st (although i'm sure you would have tried to squeeze a quick trip home in) I thought it'd be better that I not invite you and Alison so then I the bad guy. See it was not me being lazy and not getting around to inviting you pair (altohugh this is the first I have written) I just didnt want to risk making you and Ali homesick wishing you could come. (lol, nothing has changed i can still make up stories.) P.S Mgiht be planning a trip your way, i'll keep you posted.
Yeah Yeah whatever! Just feel special that you got a phone call from an authentic red phone box! I think you should defintily come on over!

Hi Jac Jac Jacqui
Sadly we are writing to u from work. Bet you are having loads of fun. Beware of flying ping pong balls!! The photos on your web site are making us very jealous. When and where are we meeting up? Daniel and Kate just got back from Fiji - the photos are amazing. No tigers or elephants though!
HDU drinks/lawn bowls day was fun. U won't be surprised that Bill is working a night shift for this months drinks!!! Other news - Jo Whitson is now a grandmother to a little girl, Ella Rose, 7 lb. Terry is delivering lots of babies! That's all for now. Have fun in Vietnam, watch out for those shifty little men with mo's and man bags (ask Bill).
Talk soon love Leonie and Bill
Hey you guys!
Im more jealous that I missed the latest bowls day. Bill you are terrible at your roster, Leonie will be doing your requests from now on. I still cant believe Terry is delivering babies, it warps the mind. Hey Bill I have actually seen a few man bags since I have been here. We have to meet somewhere very exotic for HDU drinks soon!
Bye! Love Jac
