We,re back on line Jess, and catching up on your adventures. Seems like there is no shortage of them! Carry on blogging.Tried to call you last night but kept getting a busy signal. We'll try again soon.
HI...glad to hear you guys finally got things sorted out! Busy signal seems funny would have been this morning I think - you might want to call the operator or go online and figure out if I gave you the right international calling code. I wasn't on the phone at all today... look forward to hearing from you!
From - Thursday, 28th September 2006, 00:32 (GMT)
Still checking out the blog and the pictures - love it. It's like sneak-reading your personal diary, hehehe !
I love sushi too - I have it every chance I get. Even have a few "best" places in Ottawa, although I bet it doesn't compare to what you have where you are.

Take care ! Love Rita, Dale and the kiddos.
Sneak peak into my diary eh!? I guess it is - so maybe I should watch what I say from now on! hahaha. Once I get back to Canada I'll be asking you about those sushi places in Ottawa!!
From Kimmer - Saturday, 26th August 2006, 01:20 (GMT)

Hey Kim, it's great to hear from you again - believe it or not no wrong turns were made but I definately stood infront of signs and maps and stared at them for an extended period of time!! I definately stand out here!

Hey Jess,
I was just reading your site and feeling a little jealous(yet extremely excited for you)of all of your new experiences. You have more guts than I do that's for sure. We're missing you here in Thunder Bay, but we're also estatic that you're having the time of your life! Drop me a line sometime and I'll fill you in on all of the StarTek gossip.

Take Care and keep having fun.

Tanya
Thanks Tanya -can't say that I'm missing Startek that much these days but I do miss the Thunder Bay crowd - hope all is well and I'll email you a little later. Tell everyone I said HI!

(It's so cool to get email from Japan-I LOVE that)

Hello Jessica:
Melissa sent me your site and it's very cool. We had lots of fun at Greg's wedding and it was good to see everyone again. We missed you and Laura. I will send you some pictrures once I figure how to do that. Just got myself a new digital camera. Your site is very interesting and I look forward to following you for the next year. André will be leaving for Alberta in two weeks and spend a couple of months working...I hope. He says he will go with empty pockets and come back with them full of money...!!! We will have to see about that. Anyhow, glad to see you are making a go of teaching those darlings in Japan. Lots of fun and talk to you soon.
Hey Aunt Marian!! I'm glad you had a chance to check the site out! Wish Andre good luck for me - I'm sure he's telling the truth about the pocket full of money! And I look forward to the pictures of Greg's wedding - I really wanted to go. Thanks for the note -
From Rita - Tuesday, 5th September 2006, 22:42 (GMT)
Hey, lady !

What a terrific thing you got goin' on ! I love the pictures and the day-to-day tell of what you're living. What an adventure. This year will go by in a flash with all the new and exciting stuff you live everyday. Good for you. I'm totally envious of your spunk and fearlessness. Take care of yourself, dear Jessica. Have a great, great time and keep adding to this blog. I'll be visiting from time to time and look forward to reading every little thing.

Rita
Hey Aunt Rita!! It's great that could check out the site - I'll be sure to keep up with the blogs and letting everyone know how things are going!

From Tammy - Friday, 8th September 2006, 17:01 (GMT)
Free Tissues!!! That's awesome! Makes that thirty minute wait all worthwhile. I once got a job in Cuba teaching bartending to Cubans on a new resort. They all spoke Spanish, so I can kind of relate; although, they were at least adults. Things sound like they are going along smoothly for you-I'm glad. Talk to you again soon.
Adiosu! (seems appropriate!?!)
Free stuff is always fun - especially when you don't expect it! Bartending in Cuba I never heard that story! I'll be asking you about that someday!
From Joé & André - Wednesday, 13th September 2006, 13:01 (GMT)
Hello Jessica:
I mentioned to the boys last night about your interesting site and they said you were pretty smart to take on that challenge and wish you lots of fun. I like your idea of cycling because John and I have been peddelling around for the last couple weekends. Would be great to visit you and see some site in that area. If you stay long enough who knows we may check it out. Until next time looking forward to seeing what else you've discovered way down there in Japanese land.
Well you (and anyone else for that matter) are more than welcome to stop on by!! I'd be more than happy to show you around!! Just give me a chance to check things out first!! haha
From Melissa - Wednesday, 13th September 2006, 21:43 (GMT)
Hey Sis!
Miss you lots! Glad that things are going well. I've belted out a few times from your stories. Hilarious! Keep those pictures and entries coming. We really do live through your life, so do us a favour and keep posting!
Mom and Dad want me to say hi for them. We have their computer, so they should be online next week maybe. Mom wants me to tell you she thinks of you everyday, and when asked if she thought of me that much, she said mostly no...so, there you have it!
Anyway, take care! Talk soon!
I always knew I was the favorite daughter!! kidding! Glad to hear you get a kick out of the posts - I'll keep them coming then! I'll be calling them in a few days - once I get my phone (hopefully tomorrow). No I'm not a bad daughter I just haven't had a phone (literally) and calling cards are insanely expensive here!
From Diana - Thursday, 14th September 2006, 15:09 (GMT)
Hi Jess,
I love your account of the great day at work. I have been thinking of how lucky you are to be living this adventure but as I read your latest update I realized that the Japanese students under your care are also lucky. Good for you (and them!) that you take enough interest in the teaching to ad lib & make it the best learning possible. Good Work.
Take Care,
Diana
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it!
From mom and dad - Saturday, 23rd September 2006, 20:21 (GMT)

From Marian - Thursday, 28th September 2006, 18:28 (GMT)
Hey you...I see you are still learning or I should say we are learming from you on your adventure. Keep it up. Well, André left for Alberta and is supposedly working hard. Since he has asked me to look after his mail and bills, I hope he makes lots of money cause already he ows me a couple of paycheks from parking and speeding tickets and visa bill...I know more about him now than when he was living right next to me..!! I hope there are no more surprises...
I'm sure there will be more surprises - there always are! You're not the only one in that boat either. Mom and Dad are probably thinking the same thing about me! haha
From Diana - Wednesday, 4th October 2006, 14:54 (GMT)
Hello Jess,
Just want you to know I'm checking up on you almost daily and I will be the first one to admit that I just recently..... really recently.... figured out what 'blogging' meant!! So, as you can gather, I am learning a lot from your adventures! Take Care! Keep Blogging! ;-)
Well it's always good to be learning! This is one of my favorite quotes by Eartha Kitt:

"I am learning all the time. My tombstone will be my diploma."

I think it's more of a description of my life and a goal for my future!!
From mom and dad - Friday, 6th October 2006, 21:00 (GMT)
Hi Jess,
Don"t feel bad about not posting for a while because i"m sure there are mundane things you have to do too like work and eat and sleep __ but when something exciting happens we will be thrilled to hear about it and we wont mind checking in to see if there are any new adventures that you would like to share with us
thinking of you every day
love mom and dad

Well luckily you won't have to wait long - just got back from a yukinaki and karaoke night but won't have the pics for a bit so just be patient for a little while longer!
