Hi Tams,

The pictures are great!

How are you doing after the motorcycle incident?????!!!! Your poor mother as she reads that - please be more careful. By the way, I always loved the game frogger but it is better when played on the computer than with your own life!!!!

It has been quite warm here (relatively speaking of course) but I think that's going to end on Friday when its supposed to go down to 1 degree.

Keep having fun and stay safe!

Love

Mila
Mila I love that you write so often. I guess this little blog is perfect for you! You only have to write short bites!! Yes, my mother does cringe! But I am a tough cookie!!! i am healing fine! And part of travelling is coming home with the pictures and the scars to prove it! I have many on my body and they each remind me of a place I have been! Take care, Love T

Hi Tams,

I can't believe its been almost 1 year!

Work has been insanely busy lately, but we're supposed to go to the Laurentians for the long weekend, which I plan to make extra long (1 or 2 days off) - hopefully.

When do you actually come back to Toronto? It'll be strange to actually talk to you instead of this blog......

Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Love,

Mila
I am coming home too soon less than three weeks, boo hoo! I am looking forward to seeing all you guys! You will have to make time for me! Chat soon! Love, T I haven't seen your kids in about 2yrs I think so maybe I will come by and see the whole family!

Hi Skinny malinki binki,
50lbs - holy shit, you ARE going to come back emaciated!! That is AMAZING - ok, so no more borrowing your clothes for a little while!!!! Have been doing WW - and was doing well until we arrived in Vegas!!!!!! I weighed less than when I arrived in Canada 10 years ago, only after all the matzah buffets (LOL!!!) I think it's creeping back on! Anyways, sounds like you are having an amazing time - I can't believe how much you have packed in so far!!!!!!!! I can so picture you searching for hostels and going on the overnight buses/trains, it brings back fond memories. Can't say I wish I was doing it again, but maybe one day we'll do it in style!!! Vegas is fun - the boys are having a blast and Circus Circus is definitely their favourite hang out place after the pool!!! Weather is glorious (snow in Montreal, so anything is better than snowsuits!) and mum is enjoying being with us too. Been to see Love (Beatles) , it was ok, going to see O tomorrow night and mum and Alan have gone to a hypnotist tonight. Each hotel is more incredible than the next....it seems forever ago when we were here on our girls weekend!!!
Hugs and kisses from us all, take care and no drinking the holy water! Love Ruth and gang xxxxx
It was forever ago Ruth! I can't remember what you weighed when you arrived in Canada but amazing that you have stuck to it. You must feel great, I know I do! Didn't even know you were going to Vegas but glad you are having fun! I love the travel action! Sensory over load! Chat soon, Love, T

Hi Tammy! I keep getting updates from Merle who can't seem to stay away from Downsview. Actually, things are not so bad except for the usual crop of assholes (including some teachers!)
I'm going to read your stuff then send you a better letter.
Love and all the best of the season - we'll miss you at Bruce's
Michael
Hey Michael! I was just talking about Portugal and Spain the other day and thought about you! So it is funny that you wrote! I hope DSS is treating you okay. Are you taking second sem. off? I am loving every minute as you will see in my blog! Okay, a few bad minutes, it isn't easy travelling but it is great! T

Tams,

I did a one mile lake swim in 35 minutes today and came out feeling refreshed, but not exhausted. Next week I have to push it more...I want to cut off some time.

Some of my friends are coming in this weekend for Lolapalooza. I am not going...too much money.

I spent Sunday out on the lake on a sailboat. It was a lot of fun.

Thursday I am going to see the Hunchback of Notra Dame (the musical). It didn't do very well on Broadway, but it is in the area and should be a fun evening.

A friend of mine at work, Kevin, may correspond with you. He is Irish and has some suggestions for your travels.

I hope everything is going well.

Love,

Darryn

Hi daughter,
Wonderful pictures. Dad & I are standing in for you for Janice 's son's 1st B-day. Roseann is making a family dinner and we're invited.
I too was surprised that you received email from Valla -an instructor BJCC. She has just returned from a guided tour month in India--I would love to hear about about her trip.
Winning at Mahj. Using the gym here about the same amt. as at home but only the equipment --there are no instructors. Golfing and swimming lengths. However, eating out a lot. Found some great Italian, Hungarian restaurants. Soon we shall meet at the same size or you will be smaller. My red cocktail suit is waiting for someone.
Love you--be careful-travel with someone .
Love and hugs, Mom & Dad
I am glad you are working out and keeping so busy! Good to hear! Nice that you have such an active life in Florida. Golf, school, friends! The crazy thing about travel is that for an entire year I eat out every single meal! I actually went into the kitchen of my guesthouse and made myself french toast the other day! I have alos taken to making tuna sandwiches of late which is also a nice change! I bought and cooked corn on the cob but it was nothing special. Oh well! Keep having fun! I am! Love, T

Hi Tams,

No air conditioning??????? Wow!

Hope your hiking and kayaking expeditions are great (I'm sure they will be).

So, where to next?

The girls had their Hanukah play today at school - it was pretty good. Madeleine seemed oblivious to the performance, instead of singing, she spent most of the time on stage counting the beads on her necklace, turning her back to the audience and pulling up her pants to examine her leg.

Sasha was amazing - sang louder than anyone and really enjoyed herself.

I had the day off (Tuesday) but it's back to work tomorrow.

Love,

Mila

Funny little girls! I am now in Thailand! So much I didn't see last time so I am going to fill in the blanks! Looking forward to diving and the beach! Yeah! Chat soon. T

Hi T
I didn't forget about the picture, but it's on someone else's camera, and they had no time to upload their photos and send me a pic of that beautiful Indian boy. Did you visit the Jasailmer Fort? It was a good idea about the picture, but unfortunately I couldn't co-ordinate this.
Will you visit Udaipur? The Lake Palace there is where the movie "Octopussy" was filmed. It's worth visiting...another beuatiful city.
While there we met the Maharana of Udaipur, that was quite an experience.
HI Valla, I did enjoy Jaisalmer but didn't get to Udaipur. I have to leave some things for next time!! Still loving India! Chat soon, T

Hey Tams,
Thanks for the endorsement! Well.... it's finally over! The exam was officially a nightmare! It was actually quite hard. We'll see just how hard in a couple of weeks when I get the transcript! (1-3 weeks actually)! Now the wait begins. Wish I was waiting on a beach too!!!!!
My fingers are crossed for you! You get to wait in the snow! Sorry! So damn hot here! Chat soon, T

Hi Tamms, Tonight was The Oaklands Holiday Atrium party---a very big turnout. Some new owners. Many asked after you and your travels. Mark had talked to you 2 years ago at the rainy BBQ. So I took him home with me & introduced him to your Blog and pictures. Everyone is envious.
Vala, my Wed. fitness instructor is also reading your Blog. She is leaving for India on the 18th--a guided luxury tour for a month, with 2 days in a spa in the Himalayas =$12,000.
Your new pics are great--especially those bandaged knees! Enjoy the jungle. I will await your newest stories on the edge of my chair.
Love you, Mom
Thanks mom! Sorry you were out when I was chatting with dad. Everything is great. I had a wonderful day at a waterfall today. Going to dinner now! Love, T

Hi Tam
What an adventure you're having and you're so wise to have it now...no one knows what the future holds, but now you will have all these memories and life-changing experiences to keep forever. I just returned from one month in India and it was an incredible journey too. I will try to blog my experiences soon, but I wish I was as adapt at posting pictures and comments the way you have as I went along. Did you bring your lap top?. I've only just started checking out your blog, your mom gave me the website to it. She is one of my participants in the fitness class that I instruct at the JCC. She often mentions where you are currently. What led you to this decision, a year of travelling?
How much longer do you have and where do you still plan to visit?
Hi! Took me a minute to figure out who you were. I have been travelling five months! I have always been a traveller I blame it on my parents (thanks parents!). My Asian adventure has been great. I will return home sometime in August I think! Who knows for sure! We will see how India goes. Chat soon. Tamarra

Tammy,

I have suddenly become very busy at work. I am doing tons of projects and it is very exciting. I have been working out, but I took tonight off to catch up on some work and frankly I needed a break from exercise.

I had a great time at the Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting last weekend. I went to courses Thursday-Saturday. I went into this amazing course on Infection Control where the speaker told funny anecdotes for three hours. I also attended a lecture on street drugs and their effects in the dental environment. I learned a lot - except where to get them :). The opening ceremony included Second City. They were good, but I have seen them better. I also went out to some great dinners.

The weather has been strange here. It was very cold last week and then we had snow and now we have had a string of days above freezing. It hailed today and we expect snow this weekend.

I do miss you, but it is strange because I hear more about your days while you are in Asia then I do when you are in North America.

I have been working at my local coffee/tea shop, The Fixx. They had an open mic. night today and some of the people were actually very good.

Take care,

Darryn
Sounds busy and good! Everyday in Asia is busy and amazing! I can't wait till you take a taste of my world! Chat soon, Love, Tamarra

Hello Tamarra,
Long time no hear - I guess internet in Sri Lanka is not as easy to come by as Thailand! Think about you regularly and keep coming back to check if you've posted. All is well with us - had a quiet weekend with my boys and on Friday, I even gave myself a pamper day - went to Yoga first thing and then a massage. I haven't done yoga since I went to one of Keeley's classes about 5 years ago, but REALLY enjoyed it! Getting prepared for your Indian chapter!!! We just booked a trip to Vegas in April, so I'm very excited about that. Got my mum's timeshare so, we are going with mum and the 4 of us. Should be nice. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care
Love Ruthie
Sri Lanka is a minor intro to India! I don't know if I am prepared for what is to come! You are right about the internet, sparse and expensive!

Hi Tams,

Glad you're having so much fun.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today (March 27) - not that I got to spend much of it outside.

Are you staying in India the rest of your trip?

Happy Passover - we're going to Montreal for the 1st night and back to Toronto for the 2nd night with my family.

Keep having fun and stay safe!

Love,

Mila

Tammy,

It is thanksgiving in the USA. This means I went to Kathleen and Shea's for enough food to feed me for a month. I ate so much I almost was sick. It was so good.

I just saw this great video on YouTube that I thought you would like. If you get a fast internet connection then check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNF_P281Uu4

Hope you are doing well.

Love,
