From Maxine - Monday, 19th February 2007, 09:59 (GMT)
I'm pleased that all is going well and you are enjoying yourselves. I am not sure where Julienne got her love for the snow and skiing. It was not from me. I am with Chris, it is wet and cold with the chance of damage to body quite great. Take care and continue to have a wonderful time.
Thanks for that mum. It's great fun and no broken limbs yet after 10 years!! We head onto NY tonight, will let you know when we get there.
From Lina - Tuesday, 20th February 2007, 23:29 (GMT)
Hi Chris
Got your card from Whistler. How's your shoulder? Envious!! Not so envious of your falls though. That would be me - I cannot stay upright on skis. You missed seeing David as he was there just before you arrived. Take care and don't get hurt.
Love Aunty Lina
Shoulder's havent quite recovered. Was David here on business or pleasure?
From jen and anna - Thursday, 22nd February 2007, 06:22 (GMT)
got your message thanks. We are having a ball- soo much snow fresh powder every day and some nice little tree runs. The Hilton is fab and the conference is going well. Tess and I have been whipping all over the mountain. Anna seems to have faired well so far and no major stacks to tell of- she has even ventured down a black run or two or that is what she has told me!!

hope the trip is going well
look forward to seeing a few pics

Cheers mate... bugger to the week we had though, glad you have had great snow!
From Monique, Brad, Alex - Saturday, 24th February 2007, 05:29 (GMT)
Hi Chris,

Andrew gave us this wesbite to read about your exploits. Sounds like you guys are having fun!

Let us know when you get close to Italy, France and England, and we can share some tips!!

See ya,
The Woodies!
Hey guys. Nice to hear from you. Surviving thus far. No major dramas. Driving on autobahn fun, though the krauts could put better signs up, that give ample warning, and traffic lights that you don't have to do yoga to read.
From Johnny - Monday, 26th February 2007, 06:41 (GMT)
Got your message today. Having a couple of pork knuckles and 10 litres of beer is the best way to view a country! In my opinion anyway. Have a few more for me and buy me a present!
Talk to you guys later. Hope you are all well. Mon sends her love too.
Cheers mate, beer is going down really well.
From Matt & Lisa - Monday, 26th February 2007, 10:01 (GMT)
Hi guys, glad you're having a blast.
Hope Europe treats you well. We are very jealous of the trip, and even began planning our own. I told Lisa that if she could direct me to Mascot I'd get on the plane....
We aren't going anywhere...

Have fun
Matt & Lisa
petes navigation skills are much better than that!! Get her a map mate. love to you both
From Di Ward - Monday, 26th February 2007, 22:37 (GMT)
Jules, just to let you know I saw NY Knicks and 'The Magic'
play same venue etc but 19 years ago.
Best thing about driving in Germany? Trying to negotiate a lane change!!!!
Also a six inch sausage on a two inch round bread roll!!! !!!! Interesting concept.
165km an hour this morning and being overtaken!! And doing a lane change at last minute between 2 trucks (glad not be driving)
From Starkers - Tuesday, 27th February 2007, 02:41 (GMT)
You guys didn't by any chance knock a poor guy off his snowboard when back in Whistler. We had a guy fly back here to have his tibia fixed after a fall in Whistler. Let's just say he said it was the worst flight ever. Janina 4 weeks and counting.
PS enjoying the regular updates, have a beer for me.
Saliba says not guilty!! Having a number of beers in Hofbrauhaus for you mate, and in Austria
From Dory - Thursday, 1st March 2007, 07:01 (GMT)

Just love reading your updates - the long term memory is alive and kicking (short term needs a bit of help). So glad you're having such a good time and good to know Jules has another string to her bow. Will we see her in Bathurst at the end of the year? Everyone well here, baby growing, Tim and Deb so excited that they have somewhere to live, Dad and Cathy busy as is Andie with the boys - Paul away a bit at the moment, John keeping you up to date, me just rolling along!!!! Love you
Glad to hear everyone is well and rolling along okay. Nice to hear from you guys and what everyone is up to. An amazing tour of prague today, awesome!! Missing you all and love to everyone
From Paul & Vicki - Sunday, 4th March 2007, 22:20 (GMT)
We hope the three of you are enjoying yourselves as much as it sounds (and looks in the pics). All is well, Vicki doing the right thing most of the time and Paul being an angel as always!!! The baby bump is getting bigger and work at Parra is extremely busy. And yes the family car has been purchased (she pushed for a people mover!). Loving the updates and reading about each new adventure (Jules being right, Peter being wrong and Chris being soft!!!!).
Love to you all. Keep safe.
Hi guys, wow a new car?? What did you buy? The prosche wouldn't fit a baby would it? Glad bump is doing well, and Paul is an angel (what has happened since we have gone??) Lots of love
From Lina - Monday, 5th March 2007, 02:42 (GMT)
Hi Chris, Jules and Pete
Read about your latest scrapes. Glad I'm not in the back seat as I would be going 's...' all the way. Pleased to hear that you will be taking a couple of days rest. David was on business in Whistler. Take care.
Aunty Lina
Yeah, wouldn't want you yelling s!@* all the time. Been there, done that.
From Di and Simon - Monday, 5th March 2007, 09:26 (GMT)
Great to hear of your adventures. Hope you bothered taking out the "optional" extra insurance on the citroen! Missing Amsterdam won't be too great a loss (there's plenty of pot and hookers in sydney anyway). Not much news to report from here. Keep having an awesome time - we look forward to your next update.
Love Simon and Di
Citroen fully insured!! No damage, other than the hub cap. Which was a relatively atraumatic injury.. lots of love
From Andie and Paul - Tuesday, 6th March 2007, 12:03 (GMT)
Hi guys
it sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Love the updates. They are keeping us well entertained. Paul reckons you should go to Amsterdam as you can "relax" more there in one afternoon than you could in 3 days in London! The boys are really well and have a new baby cousin. Pete and Trish had a baby boy, Matthew Vincent, at 1am today. All good. lots of love. Andie and Paul.
That's awesome, make sure you send our congratulations to them, how is the potty training going?? kisses to you all
From Maxine - Sunday, 11th March 2007, 08:55 (GMT)

If you go to Northern England again remember that your grandfather was born at11 1/2 Acasia Terrace Ashington & Julienne please have a toast to Samuel Piggott remember without him you you could have been living over there instead in the Convict Colony .Much love

From Graham - Thursday, 22nd March 2007, 09:55 (GMT)
Hope the Moet was good. B good bubbly in Reims as well-Lanson not to be put down at all.I hope you have a photo of Notre Dame's Rose window from the inside.Nothing like it anywhere-did you notice the flying buttresses outside? How did they do it ?.Chris,it won't be long till you get to the merc and bimmer museums-hopefully--good luck buddy!Glad you are all well.Take care.
Hey dad, yes we did see the rose windows and they were spectacular. Chris took some photos and did a good job given the low light inside. Must admit not sure what you meant by the flying buttresses. Can you explain as i did have a good look at the building. Definitely a fine example of Gothic architecture. But as i said on the phone you should see the cathedral at Cologne. Twice as high and just amazing. As are the crypts and the treasury beneath it. You will have to check this out for yourself......soon.
From Dad - Tuesday, 27th March 2007, 10:17 (GMT)
Pete, did you ask Marcus and Sylvia about Katerina-she seems to have fallen off the planet.I will explain flying buttresses and Gothic architecture when you get home.Miss you all too.Have a safe trip and say a prayer for my grandfather at Gallipoli-I wish I could be there with you to see where he fought.Love you all.Looking forward to your safe return.
We will dad.. you will need to plan to go for next year. lots of love
From Johnny - Tuesday, 27th March 2007, 12:08 (GMT)
I think I can help you with the Moet! Just shove it into a box with a heap of packing. Send it to me and I'll tell you how nice it was when you come back! Works for me! You are the luckiest bastards on earth! So wish I ws on the trip with you. I can't wait to talk to you in person about your trip. Aslo very curious about Marcus' extra tour members. Do tell!
Anyway we send our love to you all and hope you guys are safe and warm.
Take care John and Monica.
Marcus got us a personal tour guide in schwabish hall, and he wanted to go touring for the day with us!!! even jumped in our car, we still don't know who he was... he was helpful
From Melynda - Thursday, 29th March 2007, 10:25 (GMT)
Hi Guys, sounds like you are having a great time - you really don't want to come back.
Have some great news for you... Ian is a dad: Maddison Sue was born 28/3 3.5kg and mum and baby doing fine. No other details yet but he did ring at 8am to brag that he wasn't soming in due to being a dad now. You missed a great night for Kristines farewell - Newtown dinner and lots of drinks.
Hope the fun continues and you all stay safe.
thanks melynda.. Yeah all three of us can't wait to come back, kidding. Thanks for the news, another department dad!! Look forward to catching up on our return
