Hey Heath, Just got back from Cancun and it was a pretty sweet trip except my flights sucked as usual. I heard "life's a dance" on the radio today and thought of you so I thought I should tell you ! haha Take care!
"Life's a dance... You learn as you go..." Words to live by!! Must be nice to just rip down to Cancun for your break, glad to hear that you had a sweet time!
From Linner - Monday, 15th January 2007, 05:08 (GMT)

Well.....a little late to be commenting on your blog, but I just found it from your Facebook page. Man, brings back alot of memories from our trip to Thailand. Looks like you had a great time. Just had to go back to the "ping pong show"...hahaha! Have a good one at the Rosebowl this weekend. Might see ya at the Digger's beer night?
Turnsy... I just had to confirm if what I witnessed last time at the 'show' was for real. Yup, still mind boggling.
Probably see you around S'toon sometime soon.
From Lisa - Monday, 15th January 2007, 03:47 (GMT)

From Scherman - Thursday, 22nd March 2007, 04:12 (GMT)
Heater, spring is a coming, calling for + temps all week and weekend. Auction season is starting. Is Ko Phi Phi still pretty divided, backpackers on one side and the Swiss and Brit families on the other? I cannot imagine the change after the Tsunami.
There must be a spell check on your side when you type, if not your english teachers owe you a big kiss.
Ya, no spell check here, it's all me baby. I thought that I am a pretty terrible speller. Unless you are being sarcastic, in which case... haha, real funny. Ya, there is still the split. I tend to hang out close to where the Swedish suntanners are. ;)
From Wendy - Monday, 2nd April 2007, 02:58 (GMT)
Heath: I am so sorry that your tremendous vacation is at an end. Make sure you print out this diary and store away for old times sake. Someday those grandchildren will get a kick out of Old Gramps and his travelling diary. Seriously enjoyed reading this so much. Safe flight home.
Thanks Wendy, I will definatly keep diary as a reminder of my trip... I've kept another print version of my trip that is a little more personal... Glad you enjoyed reading my stories!
From Ed - Friday, 19th January 2007, 02:55 (GMT)

From From McNeils - Tuesday, 23rd January 2007, 03:46 (GMT)
Melissa: It is good to hear you have adapted to the food and lodging in S.E. Asia. Actually the facilities look good in comparison to many, porcelain very nice upgrade. We envy your weather report as we now have a little snow and the 5 usual in Toronto in January. You must be very cautious in Thailand with the Thai whiskey! Many years ago I observed a lass with too big a glass go reclining Buda right in front of my eyes. Shocking sight! Considering genetic linkage to that lass you may be at risk. Sounds like you are getting your undergraduate work on clubbing completed; it will hold you in good stead for Patpong in Bangkok. Enjoy your days and nights to fullest, be vigilant and enjoy your holiday to the MAX.
ha ha I'll be sure to watch out for that Thai whiskey!
From Wagz - Tuesday, 30th January 2007, 04:01 (GMT)
Heater. Fellow Redwing Wagz here. We have finished the regular season and looks as though we will be ending up in 6th placce or around there. Not too bad I guess. We start provincials against lanigan next weekend. Hope your trip is going well. Looks like you are having a blast. Enjoyed the site. The Wings miss you man. Keep up the good work. Wagz
Right on Wagz! Keep those txts coming before the games to keep the boys fired up! Good luck in the playoffs! Wish I could be there...
From Brent - Tuesday, 3rd April 2007, 03:06 (GMT)
Hey Heath, sounds like your trip has been fun. It was wierd when we were in Phi Phi it also always rained about 7 oclock but only for like 30 minutes haha, and me and Brett thai boxed at the regaea bar as well, good fun. Well your probably home now, have fun at the rosebowl, were just doing our frasor island, whit sundays, sky dive, scuba dive, cairns then prob come home in a month or so, see you then
Hey B-rent, I would say that Phi Phi is my favorite place in Thailand as well, had an unbelievable time both times I was there. Sounds like you've got a pretty crazy month coming up... have a great time, stay safe. (don't swim on the north end of Frazer Island... Tiger Sharks) Later bud.

Hey Heater!!! Looks like you are having a blast! Maybe it calls for a stop-over in NZ on your way home!!
I'd love to stop by NZ on the way home... I'm not sure if I could keep up with you old travel vetrians !! Plus I'd doubt if there was enough room in that little van for me....

Say hi to Melissa!
Hey! Ya, I got your message, thanks. Sorry I never got back to you... I was pretty unorganized before I left. I kind of left in a hurry... keep me in touch with what's new back home.
From Trudy - Saturday, 17th March 2007, 00:38 (GMT)
Hi Heath
You still seem to be having a blast. Your grandma printed out pics of the market for me to show the residents. That really sparked some interest. One man was wondering how you communicate in these countries. Do some speak English? We'll await an answer when you have time.
One other man couldn't get over how backward they were when it came to the food and markets but how they have the technology eg.internet.
Keep on keepin' on! Trudy and the armchair travellers
Hello Trudy and everyone else,
Communication can get interesting over here. It is best just to keep it simple, point at things and only say single words. Instead of saying "Can I get a bottle of beer"... Just say "beer". Most of the people that I encounter know a little bit of English. The cultures are way different, ours to theirs. They think that we are the backwards ones when it comes to food and stuff... They probably can't get over why we would want to eat McDonalds!
From Carrie V. - Sunday, 21st January 2007, 00:39 (GMT)
Hey Heath!
Your website is hilarious. I had quite a few good laughs reading about your adventures. I gotta tell you, you are alot braver than I am! Eggs and bread from a street vendor that also sold gas?????? Who does that? haha. I also really enjoyed reading about your dance challenge. Can't wait to see your moves when you get back home.
Take care of yourself! Miss you.
I still shake my head at myself when I think about the situations that I get myself in. Hope Regina is treatin you well...
From Ryan Cross - Wednesday, 31st January 2007, 01:34 (GMT)
Hey Heath,
Looks like you are having a great time. I hope you learned some karate or kungfu, you could be like Chuck Norris beating up cabbies and hotel owners. hahaha. Stay safe over there and continue to have a good time. Nothing new here yet, just waiting for the arrival of our twins, any day now! Anyways, have fun, I better get back to work. The journal is great.
They were lucky I never went Walker, Texas Ranger on them.... it was close! Good luck with the new babies... I wish you two well.
From Darrin - Thursday, 1st February 2007, 00:59 (GMT)
Less talking, more pictures. Mackow - there's no "A" in definitely....
You just want some pics of the swarms of Asian university girls... And this is definatly not a site to be critisising spelling or punctuation! haha
