Hi guys,
Lets face it: a bad day in Cuba is still better than a good day in the Prairies at -20C!Who needs bikes if one can lay on the beach in Holquin? Enjoy the R & R and the friendly people.
Fidel is hanging in there, long enough to meet you guys in Havana. So get going and bon voyage!
From Mom W. - Saturday, 27th January 2007, 05:58 (GMT)
Mike: ....enjoying your up-dates and getting a taste of Cuban food and sights through your eyes .But you are missing out-- the pizza and pasta etc. at BP tonight with Laura and boys was delicious. And the sights--(Dad and I were in separate vehicles)----one of the worst storm conditions I've driven in myself--blowing snow, poor visibility. Temperatures are plunging--we'll try to save some for you so you can cool off when you get back.Take care--God bless you and make you a blessing. Mom W.
Be sure snow is being cleared from driveway for Laura would be appreciated. Thanks

That's too bad about your bikes, it'll just mean you have to do extra duty for the next few days to make up ground and time. Hoprfully you'll be on your way on Sunday.

Hey Dave, sounds like you are making the best of your situation. Way to go. Lots of people have been asking about you guys and are praying for you. The food o.k. on your systems? Are you glad you didn't take the peanut mix? How is the language going - are you using any of the Spanish you have learned? Looking forward to hearing about the bike situation, Love ya, Kelly

Adios. Take care and have fun... see you soon.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys and yes we are making the most of it. The people really have been fantastice. Helping in any way they can, paying for phone calls not accepting anything for their trobles. The food has been working fine on our stomachs so far and has actually been quite good.
