Hi Mate

Hope you're having a wicked time. We're not gonna make Goa now I'm afriad - holiday and finance restraints!!

Speak soon

Nina x

From Jane - Sunday, 13th January 2008, 09:25 (GMT)
Thanks, Clare, you've made my day. Didn't log on yesterday 'cos we had a dinner party so busy: just finished the clearing up and decided to log on before getting ready for church and, oh joy, another blog; it makes the never-ending foul wet weather outside seem merely an inconvenience. I appreciate that you can't always have access to a computer so forgive mum and me if we seem to be nagging, we're just so interested. Did she tell you about our first OAP bus trip with our passes last Tuesday to Okehampton?Good fun, and of course there's a Waitrose there.
Keep safe and well, and keep the blogs coming.
Much love, Jane xx
Thanks Jane

Had a lovely long chat with Mum last night and she didn't mention the magical mystery tour to OKehampton! I'm sure you were both busy in the aisles even though Mum professes to hate supermarket shopping... a bit like whne Tesco did 24 hr opening, she complained about how unnecessary it was and then went twice in the first week after would previously have normal opening hours! Am planning to blog again today to watch this space....
From Pauly - Sunday, 13th January 2008, 20:44 (GMT)
Hey you...your tales are sustaining me through the alomst-constant January darkness. Was surprised by your consternation about turning Indian heads, as I was under the impression you are pretty consistently followed by strange men, dogs and children anyway?!? Take care x
oh yes, I'd forgotten about that! Hope the house is nearly in a state of liveablein-ness? xx
From Amy - Monday, 21st January 2008, 09:56 (GMT)
Are you back in the world of the speaking yet hun? How was it? I reckon if I were trapped with just my own thoughts for 10 days I would need a straight jacket by the end of it. You're a brave lass ;)
Made it out the other end - wasn't the quietness that was the problem it was the numb bum after sitting all that time!
From Alex Girl - Thursday, 24th January 2008, 06:22 (GMT)
Fab photos and writing. I feel like I am traveling with you. Unfortunately I"m not in rainy San Francsico! Can't complain as I was just surfing again in San Diego for the weekend and spent 10 days skiing amazing powder in Steamboat over Christmas. Life isn't bad!
aww glad you had a good time! sounds like I'm not going to make you jealous at all! Cxx
From Katiebell (F) - Friday, 25th January 2008, 14:31 (GMT)

From Graham Northfield - Monday, 11th February 2008, 17:14 (GMT)
Clare-bear! Your photos of tigers and elephants are lovely. But they have highlighted an issue to me - you appear to be wasting away over there! Seriously, you look really well and appear to be having way too much fun. Stop it. I'm making graphs about tea & it's just not fair!
Yes... despite everything I eat being either deep fried or curry, there does appear to be less of me than before! wow tea graphs eh? sounds erm great.... !
From Dan Brother - Tuesday, 12th February 2008, 13:15 (GMT)

Hi Clare!
Just had a good read of your blog and I've really enjoyed seeing your great photos! We are all good. Connor a big Kinder boy now and Hanny standing up all by herself and saying "booby".
Are you still planning on stopping off in Melbourne. I promise you hot water and fluffy towels.
Haley xxx
Hi Haley!

Am indeed - but especially so now that I know there will be fluffy towels for me! Should be getting to Oz in July...not sure exactly what my plan is yet but will keep you posted. Really looking forward to seeing you, Craig and the little family xx

Just reading your blog from the foothills of the himalayas. Would love to see some piccies of the street life, what they sell, the chaos, the cows etc and then write and tell us about allthe smells, spices etc! Are there hundreds of baskets? Allthe rage here and very expensive. Take some piccies and what would they
c ost?Look forward to next Skype. Just had a fantastic week in the Cotswolds it is like being permanently on the film set of a period drama. We would have been extras of course. Love you. x x

From Chris - Thursday, 6th March 2008, 14:21 (GMT)
Hey Clarey - this message comes with a 'CKR in deep and meaningful mode' warning - on a bit of a down day (work overload - hmmm not good), I've just checked out your photos and remembered how incredible it all is, and the importance of getting out there and getting on with it! Thank you for inspiring me with this amazing blog, keep loving life and I'll see you soon! xx
awww honey, don't let the day job get to you... remember drinking beer out of teapots in Cochin while being munched alive by mossies - the Yin and the Yang... and besides, it'll Spring soon so enjoy it all. Cxx
From Nina - Thursday, 13th March 2008, 15:02 (GMT)
Sounds like you're having a ball... very jealous. Still really want to visit Goa/ India... but need to save up a bit!! Sure you know but we've all had really bad storms over the past week, so you're def in the right place! Me and juicy went out in Shrewsbury last weekend...had a few beers for you.. take care mate x
Cheers Nina, actually for diving everyone is talking about the Andaman Islands...they're Indian but off the coast of Burma/Thailand. Alternatively the Lakshwadeep Islands off the coast of Goa are basically an extension of the Maldives...both are apparently ace and pretty much unspoilt. haven't had the time or money this visit, but there's always next time! Glad you had a good time with Lou... thinking of you guys - as ever! Cxx
From Jess - Sunday, 23rd March 2008, 20:49 (GMT)
Hi love
Like the look of the recent pics-seems like a gorgeous place and full of spirituality. Good for the soul! We've had loads of snow today-Easter Day!
Lots of love xxxx
Snow! no way.... I spent Easter up a mountain looking at snowcapped peaks so I guess we both had a chilly Easter! I'm sending you a big hug to say sorry that Joe has gone xxxxx
From The Whoots - Monday, 24th March 2008, 14:01 (GMT)

How are you doing baby? What an artist you are!!

Been thinking about you this weekend as we have been in Devon (dartmoor) and it always reminds me of you. We had a fab time cycling around but it was actually snowing!!

Are you coming home yet?? : )

You are missed, as ever.

Stay safe petal, and enjoy the adventure.

R & K xxxx
awww I love the idea of the two of you cycling round Dartmoor in the snow! I am having far too much fun to come home - besides, now that I've discovered my artistic side I may set up a Thangka painting school and stay out here! Cxx
From samantha - Saturday, 29th March 2008, 15:43 (GMT)
i tried to email you, but it didn't go through. i'm heading your way tomorrow, i think i get in at 3. if you're still around maybe we can meet for a lassi. i hope you had fun with the buddha and wonder if you have any must do's or must avoid's.
Hi Sam - I guess we met after all... hope you enjoyed Buddhaville too? Made it Nepal after an epic journey and have run straight into a girl I last saw in Mysore - small world eh? Have fun!
From Katy - Monday, 31st March 2008, 09:29 (GMT)
Hello love! Very jealous to read all your stories. Really interested in India though as we are hoping to go there in the Spring too. You'll have to let me know thebest places... Hope you're not missing us too much (as if!). Heading to Zurich this weekend with H to see Michelle - won't be the same without you though. Kx
Katy! hey there.... am v jealous to be missing out on 'the girls go to Zurich' but then, I'm probably going to get into less scrapes here than you lot will over there! Have a great time - I will expect a full de-brief on the mission. Perhaps next time you could submit a gate-paper pre-read for me? Cxx
From M&D - Monday, 31st March 2008, 18:28 (GMT)
Hi Clare, Stef has just called with her father on a nostalgia trip of the area and a look at their old house. What a lovely surprise. I had forgotten how tall she was and you are right Clare I am shrinking. Look forward to another blog or email. Love x x
