Hi Clare
I can't believe it has taken me a whole 6 months to have a look at your blog & email you - I have so much reading to catch up on! From what I've read so far, it sounds like you are having an amazing time. We missed you at Michelle & Helene's leaving dos, I'm off to Zurich in May & still planning some more exciting travelling before the end of next year. Hope you are loving it as much as you thought you would. Take Care Clare xx
Thanks Clare!
Believe me I am sorry I missed those leaving do's, I can but imagine the mayhem! Have a wicked time in Zurich and watch out for evil rickshaw drivers when travelling. Its official they are the scum of the earth!

Hi Love
I'd rather you were holding that evil looking bird than me...did you feel you bonded with Kevin then?
xxxxxxxx
I know! I feel we settled out differences over me giving him some of my BLT after we landed... he's actually quite sweet, even though her looks like a skinhead! I'm trying to find a fast enough connection to put the pictures up on here too...not working so far...

Sounds like your having way too much fun with those bullocks, come back immediately (via hawaii of course...)....:0) Love the blog and totally jealous of the hiking, i'm yet again about to get on a ship where the longest you can walk in a straight line is 200ft for a whole six weeks.........time to go on a real trek I think, like the idea of that Annapurna circuit.......

Take care Jim, hug a tree for me

Thanks Doc! Am deffo working on the coming home via Hawaii bit... I think in a way it would be rude not to. Hope the trip goes well and there might be some nice Everest Pics for you to look at when you get back - assuming the Nepali internet connection improves 100 fold during that time... CXx

Looking after Lucy after her op.. the girls are in Shrewsbury this weekend laden with food parcels to keep her going.

Don't you worry Clare, come by Hawaii and i'll make sure you have some difficult traveling ahead. I'll make you walk from the airport to Waikiki for Mai Tais at Dukes, hows that?

LOVE the photos.
Ha ha! sound like a challenge I could rise to! Pencil me in for April next year on the way home, I'm sure I could fit in some carousing in Hawaii - its tough life, but if you want to see the world.... Cxx
From Spud - Tuesday, 6th May 2008, 12:05 (GMT)

From Hannah & Hayden - Tuesday, 6th May 2008, 20:11 (GMT)
Hello Clare!!!
Loving the blog and learning lots - who needs the lonely planet when you're around - still don't know how you remember the names of all those mountains.

Hayden & I are oh-so-wishing we were still in Nepal (or anywhere but at work) however feeling good now we're mentioned in your blog. Hope you had a great birthday by the way.

Admiring your pictures including the yak/nak (proper name Bos grunniens). Did you know that domestic yaks mate in about September; the females may first conceive at about 3-4 years of age with a gestation period of about 9 months. Oh yes, and they can live over 20 years. If you can't beat 'em, join'em!!!!!
Have fun xxxxx
"Hi guys..

Glad to see you've been doing your homework! Yes well i could speak for some few hours about the lives of silkworms but I'll save it for when I next see you! How's that Thangka looking now its home?

From Alex - Thursday, 8th May 2008, 17:30 (GMT)
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY

okay so I"m really crap and have been in touch for months....will you ever forgive me? Can I blame work? probably not! Your travels sounds amazing and are making me very jealous. I believe Michelle did the same trek as you in Nepal....I have wanted to do it for a while. Congrats on accomplishing it. Life in Provence is going well - poppies are out in full bloom, vines are budding, sun is out and sunbathing has started. Lots of evening bike rides followed by wine and cheese.

thinking of you,

Alex
Sounds great Ali and of course you, as always, are completely forgiven - I as you know only too well am much crapper on the the communication front. Really glad Provence is doing what it should and being beautiful - but until I get to Oz no-one is allowed to talk about cheese... there is NONE here... NONE! How can that be? how do they live without it?!
Cxxxx
From Jess - Friday, 16th May 2008, 18:28 (GMT)

You look really good and happy, good times.
xxx
yes not quite as good a story as the rugby club incident but fun nonetheless! How domestic goddess am I with the spinning and weaving? who would have though it?! cxxx

From Chris - Monday, 2nd June 2008, 21:58 (GMT)
You've been busy since I last blogged on Clarey - unbelievable photos! You are making me very very apprehensive - have just bought Mum & Dad's house (ug) and am utterly distraught that something as mundane as a mortgage might make it tricky for me to follow your footsteps... So you need to have double the fun for me! CKR xx
Wow! thats quite a life changer! Congrats on being a Homeowner... Will do my best on the fun front, but you know sometimes its just difficult to enjoy bumming round the world for a year with no commitments or firm plans. Cxxx
From Jess - Wednesday, 18th June 2008, 18:01 (GMT)
