I have loved seeing all the pictures. Makes me want to paint some of them. Thanks for letting me know I can do this. Love Grandma
Glad you can see them and there are more to come!
From Dale - Wednesday, 30th July 2008, 17:27 (GMT)
The pictures and text are just amazing! Thank you all for sharing so generously and taking the time to let those of us at home travel with you. I love the dancing in the streets...please continue to take good care and pass my love along. Thanks for singing to Bill for me. xoxoxo
We love having you with us. Now Thursday morning and we're beginning to see more great sights to post later.
Much love back to you.

Wow! Dalian makes my little coastal town look like a dump! It's beautiful and so modern... Hope your clean clothes dried before you had to pack'em. Thanks for sharing...

Hi Guys...your neighbors miss you. Was wondering, have you been able to enjoy any wines while there? I know if they're available you two will sniff them out-I have faith!
:-) Jane
Hi, Jane... we miss you guys, too. We've tried a couple of different wines - including a "Great Wall" red. We're still looking for one we'd want to have again. There are plenty of cats where we're staying in Dalian. You and the girls would be right at home.

Hello parents! That university looks amazing, and all of the people there seem to be treating you very nicely! I see a lot of big smiles in these pictures...
We wish you could experience it with us. Yes, we are well treated and happy, if hot.

GREAT PICTURES! That Temple is amazing -- by the pictures it even looks more impressive than the Great Wall in some ways. Very jealous of all of you. It's amazing to think of traveling to a city of 6 million people and it's not even a city you'd have heard of in normal everyday life. The sheer scale of population is amazing! Keep the pics and commentary coming!
It's simply amazing, if anything here could be categorized as simple!
From Pat A. Smith - Monday, 28th July 2008, 03:01 (GMT)
Your timing seems to have been impeccable, as news headlines here are full of the story of really bad smog in Beijing on Sunday. Glad you missed that. Looking forward to hearing about and seeing Dalian...

got your webb page bookmarked. Everything works

I'm happy the luggage problem is solved. Incidently, my yard is now debris free. It is quite an improvement. I talked to Randi today - their move is in full swing.
I am keeping busy. Woody called to offfer me squash, corn, tomatoes, and cucumbers today so you know I'm up to my elbows in the kitchen.

Itrust that the trip is all that you had hoped for. Much love Mom MA
It's all we hoped for and more! I'll pass your love along to all, and please know we're sending you our love right back.
Glad your yard is free of debris - finally.

WOW -- Hadn't seen the Terra Cotta Warrior pics yet - incredible! Can't wait to see what sights come from Shanghai. You guys are doing a great job being so diligent with the posts and pictures! It's so much fun to read. Looks like a good trip for a great pair of walking shoes. Keep it coming!
Thanks, Marsdens. We think of you as we see babies here. Yesterday in Yangshuo, a proud grandmother kept bringing her little one into the hotel lobby to show off to guests--she couldn't stop smiling!
Shanghai awaits as we wake up Monday morning

Was it our Moms who said, "Go
play in the backyard and dig a hole to China?" Love it!

This is so cool! You all look great! So does the food. Was the Beijing airport really like a dragon? Hello to all. Looking forward to more postings. Hope Ramonah's luggage has turned up by now. If not, guess she'll just have to get a kimono. Happy gallivanting!
Hard to tell about the dragon, but pride in the new airport is as immense as the place itself!
From Karl and Patricia Ma - Wednesday, 23rd July 2008, 22:08 (GMT)
So happy for all of you (and jealous!) You know you're on an adventure when the map on the web page includes Mongolia and Tibet! Somehow I doubt we will be taking the 5-week-old on any "adventures" any time soon. Travel safe and keep the snaps coming -- that's one huge hole you've dug all the way to China!
You'd be amazed at all the very small children we're seeing in this high tourist season, but that's quite arduous in this heat!
From MOM - Thursday, 24th July 2008, 01:13 (GMT)
What a wonderful opportunity. I do hope you all have good walking shoes. Love you Mom

I remember that you were always talking about digging to China. Now you can put away your shovel. Been there - done that. Has the luggage appeared? Maybe before it is time to depart for home. Love to all. Mama
Luggage is on hand... all is well.

It's endlessly interesting and almost beyond comprehension. We could have spent days just inthe Forbidden City.
