Was there no room in your luggage allowance for me to curl up in a suitcase? Lovely to follow your travels again, anyway. XX
Sorry, no room. It looks as if we shall have some splendid places to visit in the coming days.

Caught up with your travels today - sounds like you and Pete are having a fabulous time. Your descriptive diary is so interesting - can't wait to see the photos!
We are beginning to think that this is the best holiday yet!
Went to a historic ranch today, could have seen you both there but without the caravettes. As for photos, how will we ever be able to choose which ones to publish. Some phenomenal places!
From sister (again) - Thursday, 9th February 2012, 19:58 (GMT)
Happy Birthday in advance for Pete. He certainly spends his birthdays in exotic places nowadays. Snow for tomorrow, apparently! XXXX
I will pass on your birthday message, he's currently snoring away, as befits the pensioner age reached tomorrow!
From Katie - Thursday, 9th February 2012, 19:10 (GMT)
Can i have a giraffe too please :-) xx

Gets more and more interesting. Sammy would like a giraffe, please, a little one will do. XX
We have seen lots of those..apparently their herd is called a journey, then there's a dazzle of zebras, a pod of hippos ..we're learning all of the time.We are now in a very different place..much more touristy..the is wild life but it stays up in the mountains well away from the humans

fantastic to date- clear blue skies have now been replaced by a torrent of rain as Cyclone Wilma takes a hold in Piahia on the east coast on the Bay of Islands on North island of New Zealand!

Look at your blog daily. Fascinating! Freezing here, literally! Peter is waiting for an opportune moment to tell you of Derby County's progress or possibly predicament. Miss our Sunday a.m. talks at 9 a.m. precisely but look forward to a long chat on your return. XXXXXXX.

From Carol - Saturday, 29th January 2011, 18:14 (GMT)
Just found time to catch up on your travels. Sounds great.
Could just do with a hotel overlooking the beach. Enjoy the rest of New Zealand. Its ok for these retired people.
we feel very young.. As the youngest on the trip some of these people are in their 90's and are really inspiring! There's life in the old dog yet, so the motto is-never give up.
This is the life- sun, wonderful locations, served with chilled fruit and iced water- can't beat it!
