Was there no room in your luggage allowance for me to curl up in a suitcase? Lovely to follow your travels again, anyway. XX
Sorry, no room. It looks as if we shall have some splendid places to visit in the coming days.
From Your dear sister - Saturday, 15th January 2011, 19:27 (GMT)

Caught up with your travels today - sounds like you and Pete are having a fabulous time. Your descriptive diary is so interesting - can't wait to see the photos!
We are beginning to think that this is the best holiday yet!
Went to a historic ranch today, could have seen you both there but without the caravettes. As for photos, how will we ever be able to choose which ones to publish. Some phenomenal places!
From sister - Thursday, 20th February 2020, 22:33 (GMT)
Brilliant, as usual. xx
You would love it here, not only is it hot, not a cloud in the sky and mid to high twenties with no humidity as yet... but the history of the place is fascinating!
Keep well, Euan is growing up fast!
From Katie - Friday, 21st February 2020, 14:36 (GMT)
Looks like you're having a fab time mama and dad. Don't get sunburnt in all the heat! xx

Happy Birthday in advance for Pete. He certainly spends his birthdays in exotic places nowadays. Snow for tomorrow, apparently! XXXX
I will pass on your birthday message, he's currently snoring away, as befits the pensioner age reached tomorrow!
From Katie - Thursday, 9th February 2012, 19:10 (GMT)
Can i have a giraffe too please :-) xx

From sister - Monday, 6th February 2012, 22:59 (GMT)
Gets more and more interesting. Sammy would like a giraffe, please, a little one will do. XX
We have seen lots of those..apparently their herd is called a journey, then there's a dazzle of zebras, a pod of hippos ..we're learning all of the time.We are now in a very different place..much more touristy..the is wild life but it stays up in the mountains well away from the humans
Xx

Absolutely fascinating account so far. xx
Younwould love it here, such a fabulous place. It makes the situation in the surrounding countries all the more sad. We can envisage Syria being similar in many ways.
