From Jean Wright - Sunday, 14th June 2015, 03:45 (GMT)
We loved the Horizontal Falls when we saw them 2011. Flew from Derby and scenery from plane amazing. Sunday, Port MacDonnell SA, Info Centre where free wifi and warm. Went to Church and met 2 amazing 100yr ladies who still drive. I wonder if it's the water, lobsters or dairy farming. Xx jean and ken
Hi Jean, 100 maybe just good healthy living ie no happy hours or rubbish to eat. Hopefully we will sross paths next month cheers Di and Robin
From Ann - Thursday, 16th April 2015, 23:07 (GMT)
Wow Di I am s impressed!! Most comprehensive diary you have ever kept. What a great way to keep in touch. Must check it out for our next trip. Meant to get in touch before the wedding but time passes much too fast. In other words I forgot the date. Rennee looked beautiful and Aaron looked pretty happy as well. The 3 of you look pretty good too. Give our love to David and Bev. Maybe we will see them on the road one day!! Happy travels and stay safe. Xx
Well It is the start of the holiday, see how I go a month or two in. You know me - this was the easy option. I didnt want to join Facebook. I wil face time you some time soon
From Una and John - Tuesday, 16th June 2015, 12:04 (GMT)
Hi Di and Rob
Just caught up with your travel talk and thoroughly enjoyed hearing of your adventures. It sounds like a lot of fun.
Love from Una
Hi Una Great to hear from you. Hopefully I will be able to upload some photos soon. We are now at Point Sampson Cheers Di and Robin
From The Davenport - Tuesday, 16th June 2015, 05:44 (GMT)
Hi Di and Robin, Just read the latest entries. Sounds wonderful. Your sister was here last weekend. She donated your last two Delicious magazines to me (thanks Jules). I'll read them and then pass them on to Sue Mc. Have had absolutely beautiful weather, but today (Tuesday) it's rained ALL day. Keep enjoying - Sue D
Hi Sue Enjoy those mags. I have a rule that I have to make one main and one dessert out of every issue. Also when some of our mates come over for dinner I always prepare the entire menu from Delicious. Someone to blame if its not so good lol.
We are now at Point Sampson for a few days cheers Di and Robin
From Jules - Wednesday, 22nd April 2015, 12:00 (GMT)
Hi Di and Rob.....so far so good by the looks of the photos and comments. Hope you are happy with your annex. Getting a bit nippy here (actually it was bitterly cold yesterday) so great option heading north LOL Talk to you over the weekend (you would be ready for bed by the time I get home from work) xoxo
Hi Sissy
We like the look of the annex, havent put it up again yet. It is bigger and heavier than our last one so may take me a bit longer to put up. I had to buy a step ladder due to the height, could manage with the caravan step before. A trip to Bunnings what a shame!!
Days are hot with minimal humidity, nights cool for sleeping. Speak soon Love Big Dog

Oops 😳! Late Sept?? Better start thinking of costumes starting with the letter S...!! Hope the weather holds a little longer for you, enjoy!! xx
S ?? I usually just get told what I am wearing. Donkey!! Dress up is not my speciality but hope i will rise to the occasion. Now in Tom Price - weather great cheers Di
From caroline - Saturday, 25th April 2015, 02:19 (GMT)
I see what you mean about the rig. (I had previously only seen the brochure). Definitely 5 star accommodation - extra points for the views.
Nice to chat. We will keep in touch xx
From Ann - Saturday, 25th April 2015, 08:58 (GMT)
Hi Di and Rob. Will have to put Burrum Heads on our list of places to go to!!
Very wet Anzac Day here but we badly need the rain. Hope you guys are dry in Agnes Water. Nice park there! Have Helen and Warren here for a week which is lovely. They are with Pete for a couple of nights and back here tomorrow. Love having my sister visit. Keep enjoying the good life and we'll talk soon. Xx
Say Hi from us. Will try and face time you to say Hullo to them. Was thinking of Patrick yesterday as we watched the massive coal trains past. I will contact him when I have got more detail about them cheers Di
From caroline - Sunday, 26th April 2015, 01:15 (GMT)

From Rae - Wednesday, 1st July 2015, 09:09 (GMT)
Really enjoying your travels and so glad you have been able to get some photos going again-they are great! Keep up the good work. The blog turns into a good travel diary and record at the end of the trip.
Love Rae
Hi Rae good to hear rom you. There are plenty of places in Aus that are still remote without technology. We should be OK for a while now. We are not big into diaries or photography - this is probably are best effort ever. Update coming soon cheers Di and Robin
From Caroline - Sunday, 30th August 2015, 04:51 (GMT)
Only a couple of days to go.
See you tomorrow. We have fresh oysters and prawns. Sampled 18 to make sure they were ok. They will be lucky to get there. Hope I don't get the midnight munchies tonight!
From Rae - Thursday, 30th April 2015, 10:02 (GMT)
Hi Di and Rob,
Picked up your site address from Amanda at work last night-great to be reading someone else's travel blog.
How long does it take to erect your annex?
Love your Happy Hour photos- can't help ourselves and already considering a W Qld trip next year-or maybe NZ-or maybe Tas- or maybe UK??
Anyway, keep up the good work (homework) and safe and happy traveling .
Hi Rae Firstly thank you for introducing me to this site. It is so easy. Cant answer the annex question - haven't put it up on my own yet. I will let you now next week. Life is great on the road. Cheers Di and Robin

I'm thinking of setting up a musical fence in Adelaide - we have all the bike bits.
Great! Have it ready by the time we come through, we can play in your inaugural concert.
From JJ&E - Saturday, 2nd May 2015, 06:10 (GMT)
Your favourite restaurant is listed in AFR top 500 in Australia.
Yes we noted that. Wish we could go to the function May 24. Some of our other favorites are there too. Just in case you go north to dine, we can also recommend Berardos - Noosa, Brisbane - Ecco, Jellyfish, IlCentro. Hope you go to The Spirit House if you go north before you go home.
From Ann - Sunday, 3rd May 2015, 09:46 (GMT)
Hi Di and Rob. Love following your travels and looking at your photos. Feel very envious. Helen and Warren now back in NZ. Had a great week with them. Grah VERY happy with the Bulldogs win over Sydney (in Sydney!) and also now being 3rd on the ladder. Haven't been there for a long time. Keep up the good work on this blog. It's a great idea. As always safe travels xx

Hi Di and Robyn.
Great to read about your journey so far.
We are in The Alice, arrived today. We will probably leave on Thursday. Where are you? Arrive tomorrow night. Found a good little restaurant called the red ochre. Anne and I frequented this place several times when we were up here teaching.
Talk soon. XX
Sorry Marg we have been free camping with no access to phone, internet, TV or radio. See you tomorrow Di
From - Tuesday, 5th May 2015, 23:59 (GMT)
Did you have a meal at the RSL? I had a glass of wine there consisting of the drained remnants of 4 bottles! I seem to remember there was a bakery/cafe in town which was thriving.
I am guesing who the author of this message is. ??? No meal at the RSL for us. There were 2 bakery cafes. One busier than the other but their sourdough rolls were good
From Jean - Thursday, 7th May 2015, 21:29 (GMT)
We are still on coast so no water probs yet. So much to look forward to, flies etc. We left Byron with a dozen areogards and I think Ken has been through a few, not flies, mozzies. Good to get petrol prices plus free camp info.
Hope we cross paths. Keep us posted re your travels
From Jules - Wednesday, 8th July 2015, 13:04 (GMT)
Glad you watched the State of Origin?? NOT...shocking result!!!! You shoulda stayed somewhere with no TV or radio reception so you didn't have to put yourself thru that lol. Keep enjoying that holiday...I am still envious xoxo
At least the tennis has been enjoyable

Hi, dirob,
Never smile at a crocodile
Don't be taken in
By his well fed grin.
You never know when
He will want to get you
In his skin.
Keep on trucking
Will keep that in mind. Robin hates crocs so she reckons she will just stay in the van
From Pauline - Sunday, 10th May 2015, 03:18 (GMT)
Hi Girls
