Laos - The Loop 6 Bods 4 bikes

Location: Tha Kek, Laos

The loop is an off the beaten track adventure where you rent a motorbike for 3 - 5 days and head off on a series of roads and tracks that take you in a loop back to Tha Kek where you started. The roads are crazy and would be much better negotiated on dirt track bikes, but we did it Lao style on a 100cc moped. Sore bums, and plenty of punctures all round. We met up with four fellow travellers also up for the adventure and off we went. Amazing scenery and the locals are all genuinly pleased to see you.

We stopped at this village for fuel. Kiwi has managed to draw a crowd as he was mistaken for a doctor by one man who asked him to examine his sore ankle. He ended up massaging the man's ankle with some suncream, I'm not sure how he get's himself into these situations, but it provides hours of entertainment.
