Cape Reinga

Location: Northland Cape Reinga, New Zealand

Rob, Greg, and us took a full day bus trip to Cape Reigna. Gorgeous weather, spectacular scenery, and as always great company! We stopped at a "gumdigging" museum on the way.....got another wrinkle on our brains!

Standing on the edge of the point you feel as though you are on the end of the earth. All that you can see is OCEAN on either side!

1st break off the bus.

Vancouver is a far way away.....signs of different places in the world.

Tasman sea (left) meets Pacific ocean (right).

Teal water close to the edges.

You can see where the ocean and the sea meet. The waves swirl and almost stand still. On stormy days they can reach up to 10 meters!

Sand is very hard to hike in! We all came back with enough sand in our clothes to make a sandcastle!

Rob falling off his sled and Greg catching speed.

proving once agin that we were HERE!

The beach we drove on on our way back!

You must drive on the beach in low tide and through the forest in high tide
