Thanksgiving in a log cabin I

Location: White Mountains, AK, USA

We hired a log cabin in the White Mountains north of Fairbanks, and 9 of us spent two nights there over Thanksgiving. Here is the first lot of pics I took...

24 Nov 2006, 3:38AM

Ok, this picture a bit jolty cos we were driving along in the car, but I love the colours. The sky is so beautiful at sunset here.

19 Nov 2006, 2:05AM

Actually, this one was taken a week earlier at the Top of the World dance performance with Davida, one of the girls on the dance team.

24 Nov 2006, 3:51AM

I love this one just for the outline of the trees and the light.

24 Nov 2006, 3:44AM

Another one taken from the back of the car on our way up (at about 4pm... It was that dark!).

24 Nov 2006, 3:59AM

Michelle and Eric inside the cabin just after we arrived. It still hadn't warmed up, which is why you can see her breath.

24 Nov 2006, 3:51AM

Nicely bundled up against the cold (it got to about -30 degrees C).

24 Nov 2006, 5:23AM

There's a story behind this. We wanted to mash potatoes and carrots for dinner and didn't have anything to mash them with... So we used a Nalgene bottle. And I decided to clean it afterwards. Haha.

Mark taking his stuff to the cabin.

24 Nov 2006, 6:24AM

Michelle, Kari and Ryan.

24 Nov 2006, 6:01AM

At the table over Thanksgiving dinner (clockwise from the front: Michelle, Kari, Ryan, Matt, Katie, Eric, Mark and George).

24 Nov 2006, 6:25AM

Katie and Matt, her cousin from Wisconsin.

Me and Mark.
