Thanksgiving in a log cabin II
Location: White Mountains, AK, USAMore pics taken over Thanksgiving.
Mark and George.
Bundled up in Mark's winter coat and rabbit fur hat - kept me nice and toasty...
What wonderful uses headlamps have!
Me and Michelle up in the loft of the cabin, where 6 of us slept with sleeping mats and bags.
Not a great photo - but it's the only one I have of the loft we slept in... and of the tiny window that kept us from overheating in the sauna-like cabin, heated by this tiny little wood stove!
Pretty view from our cabin.
Not so very pretty picture of a sleepy me from the cabin window.
Mark chopping wood for the stove...
...and carrying it indoors with Ryan. I love how his glasses steamed up due to the contrast in temperature between outdoors and inside.
The name of our small abode for two nights.
Another view at late afternoon (3ish!) from the cabin.
And the cabin itself... Picturesque, isn't it? And very small for 9 people... Kept us nice and cosy, that's for sure.
