Sauce, Nicaragua - We´re there

Location: USA

Roberto in the green is going to be a doctor, while Maursimo takes us to the gym and hoops with us daily.

I like this picture beacuse it captures the tranquility that is Nicaragua. It is truly peaceful. We ride bike often with our new friends. It seems to be the most efficient means of transportation as the streets are muy malo. This past saturday we went to the River Grande, about a twenty minute drive. We are lucky here to be included as family by so many people. The river was a blast with around 30 of us there, we hung out ALL day, and made soup, and tried to communicate in Espa˝ol. Afterwards Brent, myself, and Marocia decided to ride bike home. It started down pouring, but rather than just biking straight home, we thought it might be a good time to do the tour de Sauce Nicaragua. You can see in the pictures below how the streets were basically rivers. Our bike ride provoked many strange looks from the locals... Like, ┐why in the world are these people riding their bikes in the streets when its pouring outside? Ellos Loco...

Carlos takes us to school, on the futball field...he is 15. Shawn and I hang in there pretty well for the junior league.

The neighbor kids across the street. Always waiting to say hello, smiling, and wanting to play. Our favorite is Francisco in the top right corner.

It finally stopped raining. Brent and I laughed as we talked about how this happening in bismarck would demand news coverage, here only some laughs.

Brent asked Roberto┤s sister Xiomara this morning if she thought it was going to rain. She replied, "No, not today, only sun today." If you are a weather man, you┤re hired.
