Location: London, UKWe had a reserved copy, so we could have picked up our copy of the Deathly Hallows in the morning. But no we thought it would be more fun to line up in a 1/2 mile long line in the freezing cold to gain get our copy.
Waterstones - the UK's largest bookstore and the place that holds my copy of the final Harry Potter book
The crowds are gathering...
We cross the road to join the queue...
Little do we know that it is over half a mile long and snakes around the corner over a couple of blocks.
I am cold and tired...
So we join the queue. We actually pushed in, but don't tell anyone we got shoved in to it. I didn't think it went back that much further, but it does.
An hour and a half later and we are nearly there.
I have it and I am just about to pay for it.
Paid for and excited - it is two o'clock in the morning and I am a little delusional.
As we leave the building we see that the line is still snaked right around the corner.
If we hadn't pushed in we would still be in the line.
