Going Potty

Location: London, UK

We had a reserved copy, so we could have picked up our copy of the Deathly Hallows in the morning. But no we thought it would be more fun to line up in a 1/2 mile long line in the freezing cold to gain get our copy.

21 Jul 2007, 8:53AM

The crowds are gathering...

21 Jul 2007, 8:52AM

Waterstones - the UK's largest bookstore and the place that holds my copy of the final Harry Potter book

21 Jul 2007, 9:54AM

Little do we know that it is over half a mile long and snakes around the corner over a couple of blocks.

21 Jul 2007, 9:52AM

We cross the road to join the queue...

21 Jul 2007, 10:05AM

So we join the queue. We actually pushed in, but don't tell anyone we got shoved in to it. I didn't think it went back that much further, but it does.

21 Jul 2007, 9:54AM

I am cold and tired...

21 Jul 2007, 11:30AM

I have it and I am just about to pay for it.

21 Jul 2007, 11:21AM

An hour and a half later and we are nearly there.

21 Jul 2007, 11:33AM

As we leave the building we see that the line is still snaked right around the corner.

21 Jul 2007, 11:33AM

Paid for and excited - it is two o'clock in the morning and I am a little delusional.

21 Jul 2007, 11:34AM

If we hadn't pushed in we would still be in the line.
