Location: New Delhi and Agra, IndiaI was lucky enough for my school to send me to New Dehli for a conference during Chinese New Year 2008. Charlotte (my collegue and travel buddy) decided to head to India a few days before the conference started to take in a few of the sites.
India Gate -- in the middle of New Delhi.
There are people everywhere just trying to make a few extra dollars.
The trusty auto rickshaw. Cheap and cheerful transportation.
Ummmmmmm. Let's hope I don't have to visit them.
The Taj Mahal.
Funny things they make you wear over your shoes so you don't hurt the marble.
Pity our guide couldn't take a straight photo! This seat was made famous by Princess Di.
Fatepur Sikri - about an hours harrowing drive from Agra, home of the Taj.
Humayun's Tomb - New Delhi. I was impressed. I thought we were going to see a hole in the ground!!
The photos you can take here are amazing. Even I can loo like somewhat of a professional.
This sums up India for me. One minute you are seeing things that make you cry - their is so much poverty and hardship here, but nest minute there are things that make laugh and smile. I love this photo!
