Chiang Mai

Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand

A few photos from my days in Chiang Mai, Thailand's nothern capital.

A novice monk touring around some school girls at the temple on the mountain

A view of Chiang Mai from a temple on top of a mountain. It is very hard to see the city due to all of the jungle fires that are happening ... and pollution

The old brick wall and moat. Built in the early 1800's

The moat that surrounds the inner city of Chiang Mai

You'll see the elephant spraying water out his trunk. This time of the year it is so hot the city turns on fountains for people to cool off as they walk.

A kid feeding some pigieons at the Sunday Market.

My caddy, never got her name. She spoke no English besides being able to tell me the yardage.

Me and my New Zealand friend, Wally. Playing at the Lanna Golf Resort north of Chiang Mai

Oh my Buddah, a monk. I befriended this old monk on the 14 hr train ride. We had a smoke at the train stop... I don't smoke, but thought it would be funny to have a cigarette with a monk. They are not supposed to do anything like that.

Catching the train back to Bangkok

The rules at my guesthouse... They put it quite clearly
