The many steps (something like 1800) to get to the top (and back down) of the Ciudad. They needed a "Slippery when wet" sign.
That little speck on the far plateau is me. It is an awesome sight, you feel like you have warped back in time.
We ran out of food and were forced to eat grubs, a source of 9 essential nutrients and enriched with omega 3. haha, yeah right.
We stayed in these traditional huts on the 4th night. These blasted turkeys woke us up in the morning. I also discovered I can communicate with turkeys, they responded to my gobble. When I get home, ask me to do my turkey imporession, its really good.
Pretty much wonderwoman and superman after getting atop the rock, it was slippery and hard to climb, but Fritz (from Germany) and I made it!
Every morning we awoke to an impressive view of mist rising from a valley, welcome to the Colombian Andes baby!
Arenīt they cute. They remind me of Zane when he was little. Freddy I would like to make a Mom joke but will hold back.
Our final morning, a little bit more chilly as we are higher up, but a sensational sunrise with flowers blooming in the foreground.
The big pile of Volcan de Lodo
Happy as a pig in shit!
Could I be any more attractive?
Clean and enjoying the fruits of nature (or should I say beans). Good work Juan Valdez and your burro!
