Uganda - last day

Location: Kiyunga, Uganda

Letter from the boys Mum (Nagawa), saying thanks for everything. (this was before she knew about all the school fees and everything, at this stage she didn't know everything we were doing)

Students cleaning Josephus' 'community carrrrr'

These boys look so happy, but just think they would have definitely had to drop out of school and not continued their educations. They would soon be begging on the streets or who-knows-what. They still have a very tough time ahead as their Mum is HIV positive and very sick with absolutely no income or money or house. They rely on the food they grow to eat and the owner of the house to continue letting them stay there. I hope to continue helping with their education through highschool if I can. They have no alternative means apart from sponsors like us.

The boys in their new uniforms (the shirts - shorts were still being made) and new shoes.

A Ugandan taxi or matatu

Daniel, mukwano wange, who works at the internet in Mukono and helped Kisakye learn the internet. He was very helpful to me and Kisakye as well. Daniel burnt me heaps of new Ugandan music!

Brenda, Mugabe and Shaukie

'Arsenal' Taxi

Me, Shaq and his red 'pimp mobile'!

Shaukie one of my favourite students in P3.
