Josie Memorial

Josie from kitten to adulthood

While Ali was at lectures, the other residents of The Terrace kept Josie entertained. Tom McGovern introduced her to playing with Bic biro pens.

In June 1991 I got Josie. I was in my first year of university, before I left Glen Eyre hall of residence. Pets were strictly prohibited. This is Josie pretending she's a toy to avoid detection by the cleaners.

She got into absolutely everything - including the TV unit.

The summer holidays in 1991 now, and she is at home with me in Bracknell. Don't be fooled by the coy look - she was a ball of energy.

Relaxing on a chair.

She adored this foam ball. If we bounced it on the ground, she would leap 5 feet into the air trying to catch it. It was a good way of tiring her out. While she was a kitten she had a funny little crimped bit of fur on the top of her head.

Now we've moved to Auckland, New Zealand, met Jason and both fallen in love. Here are Jase and Josie relaxing on the sofa.

Aged 9 now, this is Josie enjoying the sunshine in the garden at Sunninghill, just before we emigrated to New Zealand. She was always very proud of her tail ... she'd never curl it around herself, it always had to be stretched out on display for all to admire.

Aged 16y10m - after moving back to the UK and living in Oxford. Help?!

Aged 14. Sooo comfy (same lap, same position, different day).
