Location: Wanaka, New ZealandDriving south towards Queenstown. We've stopped over in Wanaka for a couple of nights. This is the most happening place we've come across in over a week! Last night we caught up with Katy's brother, Philip. Felt rather starnge having contact with a different human being. Today we had a stroll around part of lake Wanaka and entertained ourselves in Puzzling World. Tomorrow, weather permitting, Katy and I are taking a jet boat ride around the lake here, apparently part way through we get to stop for tea and a scone...how british. Later tomorrow we're driving down to Queenstown and friday Katy flies our travelling nest. Then there were 2.
Haast beach - deserted. On the way to Wanaka we came across this empty beach, stretched for miles each way, filled with drift wood, pebbles and shells.
Just one of the many examples of the scenery we saw on our drive down to Wanaka
Arrived in Wanaka, greeted by this. We stayed; no persuasion needed.
Wanaka lake - another perfect opportunity to use the old self timer!
Puzzling World, ..all rather puzzling. Is that Tasha dwarfing me?
Not quite right, but you get the picture?!
