France Travels

Location: France

St Emillion, and Armand shows us around his vineyard.

Market Day in Larra, near Toulouse.More like a Car Boot Sale - no fresh food, but lots of interesting old stuff.

The Twin Towers of La Rochelle, guarding the harbour. They used to drape a chain across the gap to stop unwanted ships entering.

St Emillion - built on a hillside, giving views like this across the rooftops.

The monument for the 60th Anniversary of D-Day (2004), at Omaha Beach, Normandie. On the very beach were US troops stormed ashore that morning.

Mont St Michel - the classic photo of the abbey on top of the hill, with the village at its feet. No photo can do this place justice.

Mont St Michel at night.

Mont St Michel, and the incredible courtyard at the very top of the abbey. WeŽd climbed hundreds of steps to get up here, the view was amazing - inside and out.
