London

Location: Europe

Long weekend in London...lots of English breakfasts and great fun catching up with friends!

Paul crossing the road ahead of the crowd as usual...

Trafalgar Square. Everyone was getting their photos taken, so we thought we should too!

Westminister

Park near Buckingham Palace on sunny autumn day (little were we to know that this was to be the only sun we saw all weekend, at least is lasted a couple of hours!)

All the Queen's horses on the way to Buckingham Palce..they were playing instruments and riding at the same time!

Rodin sculpture - Bergers of Calais.

Obligatory London Bridge photo (sun had disappeared by then)

The gates of Buckingham Palace

British Museum - they sure did 'acquire' a lot back in the day. Rosetta stone was a highlight....we bought a whole heap of books on European history so next time we visit, we'll have a better idea of what everything is!

Portobello Rd markets. They were fun to explore, but so busy!

The famously extinct Dodo bird. The plaque said that introduced animals killed them....we thought it probably had more to do with the naturalists who clubbed them for reasons of posterity.... Interpretations aside, the Museum of Natural History was amazing!
