Florence

Location: Europe

The centre for renaissance was extremely hot when we visited. We enjoyed our stay but it was prob our least favourite city

On top of the Duomo

The Duomo - Florence's main cathedral. It is one of the most detailed and ornate buildings i have ever seen. Also its so big you can't really get it all in the picture

On the Pont Vechio, the only bridge that survived world war 2

The climb down over the dome - it was really steep

The Botticelli gardens at Palazzo Piti - one of Florence's wealthy families

Pont vechio is completely lined with jewellery stores containing high quality gold like this one - i was in awe!

The statue of Michaelangelo's David stands about 5 m high and is truly breath taking in real life - only then can you appreciate why it is so famous, the attention to detail is amazing

Leaning Tower of Pisa - i had to strike a pose!

Ahhh the pichet! (as they say in france). It was a staple at every meal and we graduated to 1.5 L that night - bigger is always better

The normal fashionable church attire Inside the cathedral at Pisa
