Good times gone bad

Location: Ischgl, Austria

Here are some photos from a recent kicker session we had in the backcountry here in Ischgl. Things didnt go as planned!!

My shoulder was dislocated for about 2 mins. I've been strapping my shoulder for the last week. Two days ago I went to the doctor and had an MRI Scan, I need to have an operation to reconstruct my shoulder. Its decision time!!

When toboggans attack - We went tobogganing one night, crazyiest thing I have ever done. Head first down a mountain at 60-70km/h......all good until you have to turn a corner. I dislocated my shoulder, got a blood nose and broke my new phone

18 Feb 2007, 2:02PM

Hmmm thats a big gap!! Nothing good could come from this...

18 Feb 2007, 2:02PM

One day we had this idea to build a huge step-up (jumping up onto a hill). Day 1 of building. Matty and I chopping the blocks to build the base

19 Feb 2007, 1:51PM

Me hitting the kicker. I could lie in this shot and say that I was attempting a backflip, however, the kicker had too much kick and when hitting it at 70-80km/h it flicked us out to much.

Day 2...the finished product....5 hours and one massive kicker. Having some lunch before first jump.

19 Feb 2007, 2:02PM

...instead of fixing the jump our Swedish mate Erik decided to give it a go..........Hmmm not a good idea

19 Feb 2007, 1:55PM

Nick doing the same. Both Nick, Joel and I all hit the kicker landing in the same spot upside down......its about then we should have realised something was wrong....but

19 Feb 2007, 4:28PM

Ski patrol called the heli-rescue......Ummm not good. The helicopter landing on the kicker!!

19 Feb 2007, 2:33PM

He landing on his feet on the lip of the ridge at 80+km/h..........breaking his back. We isolated him and called ski-patrol

19 Feb 2007, 4:30PM

Bye Bye Erik. All is good with Erik now, his Ski season is over, but luckily his break wasnt that bad and he left hospital two days later with a cast around his back. He has gone home to Sweden but hopefully will come back in a couple of weeks
