Coimbra to Navarre

Location: Ireland

Within this tiled bar
an argument is pursued
in a language, probably Portugese,
I do not know,
It's animation written on faces
bouncing off other patrons
washing over me,
off me, I do not understand
and so it is background
noise to my writing
view to my foreign bar
contrast to my smile,
to be traveling in lands
with different languages
new beers and a bar tender
who needs not spoken language
to pour me another,
a wait for a train
made more interesting
by this argument unknown
by advertising unable to work
on my unknowing eyes,
and i decide
sometimes It's better
not to know a language

Waiting for a connecting train we watched a frozen lake and i big group of flamingoes!!

Left on the train from Coimbra heading for the coast. Gettin hairier too after no shaving from Mow-vember and Sanchy and I vowing to not shave till the trip over :)

Feeling the sand in the toes.... We had to walk the first 50 metres of beach in shoes cause of all the glass from revelers... Not all beaches are the same! ha ha

Getting a feast of Portugese chicken and a cold beverage upon arrival in Navarre....

Very romantic!

The view of Nazarre from the cliffs above (Cable car this time, no climbing steps!)

Having a swig of port watchin the sun go down...

Sanchy and I looking for the safety barrier!

Enjoying the street art....

Nice vantage point!

Hitting the local fresh produce markets the next morning for cheap goodness!

Finding one open bar in town to play pool and piss away some of the night....
