Peru and the UK

Location: UK

Here's another selection of some of the 200 photos I've taken so far (and that's after deleting the ones I didn't want)!

The path up to the Sun Gate. I have kept this photo so I can compare it with my slimmer self, one month later!

The Sun Gate just south of Lake Titicaca. Far more ancient than the usual Incan ruins. I had a dream about this place just before I left Australia so it was a very special experience for me.

Crossing the Altiplano by train from Cusco to Puno (Lake Titicaca). The glacier in the background gradually feeds the streams that will eventually become the Amazon. This is the highest point on the train trip (I think around 15,000 feet above sea level).

Opps, St Michael's Mount, Penzance, snuck in here.

The reed islands of Lake Titcaca.

Travelling first class meant great meals and fabulous entertainment, such as the dancer above.

A magical sunset at Lake Titcaca taken from our 4 star hotel in Puno.
