DMZ

Location: Korea (South)

A day trip to the Korean buffer zone separating the North and the South.

A train used to carry supplies during the war. You can see bullet holes and other damage.

The bell at Peace Park.

<3

Freedom Bridge. The connection between South Korea and the DMZ.

At this point the military escort hoped on and checked our passports before allowing us through the checkpoint.

Messages on the freedom bridge. Reunification messages, family memorials, and wishes of peace for both North and South Korea.

Nilan and Tyler trying to put the Korean Peninsula back together.

The 3rd infiltration tunnel, one of the many tunnels the dug under the DMZ by North Korea towards South Korea. Pictures were not allowed... that's obviously not me *cough*

This is all that I could capture of North Korea as I stood behind the yellow "Photo Line."

DMZ.

Our last stop was Dorasan station. It is the northern most station in South Korea. The station was built in hopes of the day when the two countries will be united once again. The opening of this station through the North will link to the European continent via the Siberian Railway.

Just keeping the army men busy :)
