9. Bike ride at Christchurch
10 Hanmer Hot springs
11. Tepen yaki dining at Nelson
12. The bridge walk in Sydney

28.01.2011 Dolphin spotting on the Bay of Islands cruise, the ride through the Hole in the Rock was cut short because of the impending Cyclone Wilma!

04.02.2011 Visit Kaikoura, seal colony, dozens of seals basking in the sunlight on the beautiful coast north of Christchurch

01.02.2011 Great fun - amphibious duck tour of Rotarua and its lakes, quacking ducks at passersby! Note the 'quacker' hanging round the neck.

07.02.2011 What better way to end the day- a leisurely trip across the lake on the historic steamer, TSS Earnslaw-went across to the Walter Peak homestead and station for a high quality dinner, followed by a sheep rounding and shearing demonstration, lovely

07.02.2011 The ride on a jet boat at 50 miles per hour through narrow canyons, have never laughed so much!

11.02.2011 Can you have a better way to spend your birthday that taking an air safari over Mount Cook and the glaciers, a perfect day and the views are spectacular and unforgetable

09.02.2011 Take a cruise on Milford Sound but beware that on deck the air is bracing-Charles and I were but a few of the hardy souls who spent most of the morning cruise on top deck, Alan is in the background

13.02.2011 Thoroughly enjoyed a guided bike ride, ( 3 and a half hours ) at leisure round the city streets and parks of Christchurch, some had not been on a bike for 40 years, what a laugh!

12.02.2011 The tram ride-private hire-for champagne and canapes, riding round the city, followed by dinner at the Belgian Beer restaurant, some were a little inebriated by the arrival at the meal- a great night, one to be remembered

15.02.2011 Another new experience for us, went with friends to the Miyazu restaurant next door to our hotel Rutherford, another great night, great food and entertainment, left with singed eyebrows

13.02.2011 Stayed overnight at Hanmer Springs, enjoyed the relaxing visit to the Thermal Reserve for natural hot tubs and swimming, didn't have time for a massage!

Last day in Sydney-- the bridge walk, an absolute must but be prepared to pay! Photo is a view of the ridge to the top taken from the adjacent pylon tower-can see the edge where the climb takes place, are not allowed to take cameras or personal belongings on the climb as car and rail traffic below
