Sapa, North Vietnam page 2

Location: Sapa, Vietnam

More pictures of the town of Sapa, it's villages, mountains and peoples.

A seller in Sapa

Banana flowers decorate the house for the Tet, as with other plants, no part of the plant is wasted, leaves petals, roots, fruit

Early morning mountain view from our hotel balcony

The centre of the town, the street outside our hotel

View down the valley from our hotel balcony

The mountains appear as the mist swirls away through the morning before coming back late afternoon

A red Dao seller, the colour of the hat gives the tribe their name. Their village was better off and more ordered than the hmong.

Indigo dyed fabric drying outside homes.

The paddy fields in the valleys

Settlements near the Chinese border

The red Dao greet us by banging on the bus windows trying to sell their goods, we found this quite an experience and quite intimidating. What a game!!
