Ayers Rock Resort

Location: Uluru, Australia

I loved this.

The lovely honey birds are very tame.

Aboriginal art

The centre of Ayers Rock Resort

But these dancers did briefly appear, practising for the Sounds of Silence dinner.

The town park where you can see lots of free activities. Look carefully and you may see the stall for the aboriginal art in the background!

Melons grow in abundance along the roadside but they are toxic.

The Outback Voyagers Hotel, our backpackers accommodation. Part of the Acor group of hotels.

And the first sight of Uluru on the way to the fabulous Cultural Centre which is a must to visit prior to exploring the rock as you gain an insight into the aboriginal beliefs.

The dingo appeared right beside us waiting for his partner to cross the road.
